I have a question about grounding the 3.5 mm jacks and about the tw   Message List

I am new to this stuff so forgive me if this is a dumb question. All
my jacks have three contacts. One tip, one sleeve, and a third that
connects to the tip when there is nothing in the jack. I know the tip
is obviously the signal and the sleeve is grounded, however should I
wire all these so that the voltage going to the tip goes to the ground
when the jack is empty? Does this have to be grounded with my
ASystems modular? Also should the faceplate be grounded?
and my power supply doesnt have a ground connection so should i wire
the ground on the engine board straight to the 3 prong inlet on my
housing cabinet.

second....

I am not sure how to hook up the two DPST switches for voltage control
and async. my switches have a total of four contacts on each, however
in the schematic it looks like there are 6 leads that need to be
hooked up to the sensitivity(CV Mode) switch. i think its the same
for the ASYNC switch. This part is really puzzling me. thanks guys.
