Atomic City imprint, travelled the world freaking out and alienating professional musicians and stunned audiences alike, and launched the live-music phenomenon that is
Different Skies, has created
mindSpiral as a catch-all name for various projects he's going to be carrying out, both in his home region of northern Colorado and farther afield.

The first mindSpiral event ("mind1Spiral") was a pair of live shows at the Fiske Planetarium, April 2 and 3, 2005, featuring Metlay, John DuVal, Darwin Grosse, and Giles Reaves, with a live planetarium/laser show; it was a success, with an album,

mind2Spiral, with Metlay, Nick Rothwell, Paul Vnuk Jr., and Greg Waltzer, did a live Fiske Planetarium show on April 8, 2006. An album is in preparation.
mind3Spiral, with Metlay, Bill Fox, and John 3 Rossi, did a live Fiske show on April 7, 2007. The music is being edited for release in some form.
