All the
stars are set to attend the 'Star Studded Who's Who Weekend' at the
world famous Club Sliders in downtown Phoenix for the 2009 NBA All-Star
Weekend.

the stars are set to attend the 'Star Studded Who's Who Weekend' at the
world famous Club Sliders in downtown Phoenix for the 2009 NBA All-Star
Weekend. A city
that has often been called a 'Mecca' for professional athletes Phoenix
is sure to be an All-Star many will not soon forget. Hundreds of NBA,
NFL and MLB athletes frequently visit and call Phoenix home during the
off-season. The 'All-Star Weekend' marks the time of year when
the top NBA players converge on a chosen city, surrounded by friends,
celebrity entertainers and non-sop night life, filled with fans,
competitions and the ultimate competition of East and West, both teams
vying for the coveted title of Champs!
Club Sliders
located at 201 S. 4th Street a block away from the US Airways will play
host to four star studded events during the weekend and one charity
event for Hoops for Hope. The four-day schedule of events kicks off on
Thursday, February 12, 2009 with the "Presidential NBA Star Studded Tip
Off Party" hosted by E-40 with SHOW Magazine. More than 100 eye-candy
models will be in the building all hoping to be voted as SHOW
Magazine's next cover girl. Models will be judged by several celebrity
judges including Omar Gooding, Ricky Harris, and Angel Conwell, Glasses
Malone, Mr. Casanova and more. BET will be in the building with DJ Pro
Style and top-model Toccorra.
Friday evening
brings the 'Who's Who Celebrity Event' set to have all the stars in the
building. The start studded red carpet event will be hosted by platinum
selling artist and reality TV star YoYo performing live. Additional
hosts include: Joe Torry, Lisa Raye, Busta Rhymes, and Raekwon with
special invited guest NBA Star Chris Paul.
Saturday
afternoon more than 5000 visitors and children from all over Phoenix
will join in on the fun and excitement of the 'Hoops for Hope All-Star
Charity Fun Fest'. Children will enjoy the fun of basketball, video games, music and with 20,000 square feet of non-stop excitement at the All-Star Fun Fest February 14th! Celebrity Guests Appearances include
Yo Gotti, Chamillionaire, Willy Northpole, Tatum Bell of the Denver
Broncos, Dorrel Wright of the Miami Heat and a host of NBA, WNBA, MLB,
and NFL players. Games 2 U will provide the gaming experience with more
than 250 game titles for XBOX, WII and Playstation 3. Interscope Artist
Scooter Smiff will perform his hit single "Head of my Class" and be
joined by several National and local acts. Hoops
of Hope is a 501(C) (3) Corporation the mission is to provide care and
hope to the 15 million children orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
Allen Iverson
will host the "NBA Player's Lounge" on Saturday night in celebration of
his 10 –Time NBA All-Star selection. Allen's celebration guests list
continues to grow with players from the Nuggets, Pistons, and 76's all
attending to witness this once in a lifetime celebration!
The weekend
commences on Sunday with a Grand Finale event hosted by the Big Diesel
Shaquille O'Neill, the event is amply titled Shaq and Friends and Doug
E. Fresh will serve as the MC. Confirmed celebrity guests include:
Cedric the Entertainer, Amare' Stoudamire, Ray J and more than 100 of

Hollywood Black Film Festival
 The Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF)
is accepting film and script submissions for the 10th Anniversary of
its annual competitive festival for Black filmmakers. HBFF 2009 will
be held June 2-7, 2009 in Beverly Hills, California. The festival will
feature narrative and documentary features, short and student films,
music videos and animation in its competitive program. HBFF also
presents a separate Storyteller Competition for screenwriters.
