Many members have questioned why the message sent out on August 27 gave
instructions to open an attachment when there was no attachment included in the
email. The reason for this was because the email was a part of the SoBig virus.
Not to worry, your computer was not infected thanks to the list’s safety
features. The virus has been known to spread itself by finding email addresses
on the internet (the list) and sending messages appearing to be from a familiar
address (Anthony). The message was not sent out by us, but the virus somehow
found a way to break into the list. Rest assured we have taken the necessary
precautions to make sure this doesn’t happen again and we are sorry for any
inconvenience this may have caused.

Here's some news for you:

I have written a musical with Bobby Hart and Caroline Boyce focusing on the
collaborations of Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. There's a huge section devoted to
the Monkees, but the story encompasses ALL of Tommy and Bobby's music, from 1960
going right up to DJBH. Keep your fingers crossed and start spreading the news,
if you can. This one looks like it could be a winner!

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that there have recently been some issues with the Band Six
UK website(s). These have resulted in the suspension and deletion of all
websites and the email address used by Band Six UK. Although some search engines
still have reference to them you should not be able to access the actual page
when you click on the link - so can anyone who has a link to the Band Six UK
website through their own webpage please delete it.

Because of the nature of the problem you might find (it's only a possiblility)
you get a warning message if you try to log-on to the website if your computer
system has a filter in it (particularly the one that a certain person has
"cut-and-pasted" and launched on a different address purporting to be the fan
club - best if you delete it and use your own talents to write a webpage!).

I'm quite aware that this message will probably start some riveting gossip for a
while but I'd rather you know that there is no point in logging on to a website
that has become problematic.
