Tonight on Fox News was a show called Big Story (the
weekend edition) and Michael was a guest. YAY! I
thought--a sign that something may be going on in
promotion of the album and/or Michael's causes. No
such luck: there didn't look to be much if anything
about Michael's album (coming just 23 days from now
and still no word about it that can give it a major
push), and while Michael did get to talk the cause of
domestic abuse and other assault issues,...it came
ONLY AFTER being asked about the whole Kobe Bryant
media explosion. Michael did not need Kobe Bryant as
a springboard for anything he does, so why did he have
to answer about it? The cause of women and children
at risk is a day-to-day issue that shouldn't be an
afterthought because of the media explosion over one
incident.
This isn't a slight on Michael--this one sits squarely
on the media! The only other thing I've heard in the
press about Michael in the past several months is yet
another chapter in the Isley Brothers saga (which
should NEVER have gone this far). HIs last album, his
first with Jive,...have yet to see even one
review--and Michael is a favorite critics' target!
Being that I work in a retail store, I am in a PRIME
position to help get the word out about Michael's new
album. Want to help,...but I have nothing to go on!
CAn't find Jive Records' site, and that I know of Jive
has not gone out of business nor has Michael's
contract with them expired. On the other hand,
Michael's site by way of Jive...domain sold!
What is a fan, fan club or no fan club, to do?
