Just thought I'd put down some thoughts...

I've been reading here and there about how MC Honky is a
persona that E made up. After listening to both the MC Honky
album and the Shootenanny album a lot, I dunno, I'm pretty
convinced that E is MC Honky for various reasons.

Today I was listening to Beautiful Freak and the song "Manchild."
This song has a sample of a tripped out lady leaving answering
machine messages. On the MC Honky record there's a track
called "Soft Velvety 'Fer" that also has a crazy-sounding lady
leaving a message on someone's phone. Is this the same
woman? Anyone have any idea what the story is on her (Eels or
MC Honky)?

So - maybe the Eels record is the album E felt obligated to make
and the MC Honky album is the one he really WANTED to make
but couldn't release under the Eels...
