As for trackers, you should have a go with SCC Blaffer NT, which you can
find on the MRC over here...

Hi, I just joined this group after finding it in a search for Nemesis
II! I have been interested in PSGs for a long time, including the SCC
and the SCC cart. The SCC has a timbre almost similar to the SID,
it's a very awesome chip and I want to use it to make music. Is there
anyway (with actual MSX hardware preferably) to write music for the
SCC? I heard a trick about blocking one of the pins on a Nemesis 2
cart that will let any program use the SCC, but what do I do from
there? Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance, and thank you
for a cool group!
(PS: I'll try to visit every so often, but I get busy a lot, so don't
expect me around like every other day ;). )
Dear All,
Some links to some nice KSS music/info sites are added in the links
section.
It is possible to use winamp to convert KSS music to MP3 or other
formats.
Thats all for now.
Greetings,
ShaiWa
Hi ShaiWa.
The main idea and aim of this group is the music of MSX. I started
adding MP3 of some SCC soundtracks, but now this is a bit obsolete,
with the programs that can play SCC music in real time in our computers.
I think that the main way to upgrade this group is to center in the
different aplications or sound systems that can recover the MSX musics
directly in our PCs. Like the SPC format of Super Nintendo Music, the
NSF of Nintendo or the PSF of PlayStation 1 and 2. Some time ago I
investigated about this, but right now I'm a little out of the scene.
If anyone knows something about what it is doing right now, he can
inform us and upload some of these sound files. Else, we can continue
uploading MP3 files of good old MSX games.
For example, the kss files you have in your home page seem to be very
interesting for this group. You can upload in a folder, and give
instructions of how to listen in our computers (the pluggins or
programas needed and the like). Also, it could be interesting to know
where to find more of it, or even how riping them by ourselves.
Any other suggestion would be appreciated.
I have upgrade you to moderator. Thanks for your help.

bring life into this group?

Greetings to all.
Yes, it is true that this group is a little dead. I have baned the
spamners and delete the spam. But I have no more files to update the
group.
If anyone wants to be moderator/administrator and revitalize this
group, please tell me and I will promote him/her.

Hello and welcome to the MSX comunity, Pascal!
This list is a bit "dead" and not so many people use it, so if you like you
can take a look here: http://lists.stack.nl/mailman/listinfo/msx. It is a
much more used mailing list about MSX. You can also look here: www.msx.org
(or http://nl.msx.org/ in your own language)
About Nemesis 2, I've finished it a lot of times! :P I find Salamander much
harder (I also finished it!) :D
If you want a cheat, you can play it with an emulator (like www.bluemsx.com)
and use the QuickSave and QuickLoad feature :D

Hi all!
I'd like to take a moment to intoduce myself: My name is Pascal Terpstra and
I live in the Netherlands. I came into contact with MSX in 1987 and was
hooked immediately. One year later Gradius 2 was released (in the
Netherlands it was released as Nemesis 2) and I've been playing this game
ever since. Played it through a couple of times and still losing most of my
lives in stage 0 at the end. Oh well, it's hard...
Well That's enough about me. I hope to be here for a long time and to speak
to you soon!

Hey! Anyone know a cool place where I can make my own personal
Homepage for free? I'm looking for something where I can post my
pictures, bio about me, and my bomb ass mixes and show my friends. I
don't want to deal with all that HTML crap. I've scowered the web and
came across this site called www.dj.net. They seem to be the only DJ
site that i can find that has something like this. Check out DJ.net
and let me know if i can find anything better. I sure can't and I've
been looking for a while now.
Just signed in to find this wonderful piece of software:
KONAMI SOUND SYSTEM!
Finally ALL the konami SCC tracks with no hassle-or sfx for
that matter.
I was very disappointed when my Kingsvalley II cartridge did
not get the sound for SCC games right-the rythm was virtually
missing.
Anyway-thanks a lot-honto-ni arigatou gozaimasu!
The file has been deleted. This is not a dating group or something.
Please don't fill the files section with garbage like that.
For the rest, I have also deleted the FM-Pac folder. It has been
there a lot of time, and we need more space for uploads. Feel free to
upload music or whatever you think it could be fittable in this group
(except dating urls ;)

Hi! I have got an MSX audio CD, digitized from some well know MSX
Games. I'm going to pass all to MP3, but I donīt know some of the
titles of the songs... maybe if I upload them here, somebody can
correct the titles that aren't good, ok? The most of the CD is in SCC
sound, and sounds really great!
Well I have tested some more SCC MSX Old games(thanks Hyunkel) & i
will try to sample them if I can... maybe if I speak to Martos, the
creator of SCC Masters, he can make some of them for all of us ;)
Hi! Sorry I took so long to respond. My answers are below.

Knightmare, Nemesis, Twin Bee, Yie Ar Kung-Fu I and II can be found here:

If you can't find the rest tell me and I'll see if I can help you.

No, I don't have them and can't record them because I don't have a SCC
cartridge. I could use an emulator but I think that wouldn't be authentic.
Hi.
If you have some of this soundtracks in MP3 or a PC-based sound
system, it could be great that you can upload to this group. We can
delete old files to make you enough space.

WOW! All with SCC Sound??? eeerhm... in ROM format? In that case, can
you send some to this account? carlos_taller@...
THANKS a LOT!!!
Actually the ROMs were extracted from the Konami disk collectin packs.
They originally worked only with Snatcher SCC+ cartridge. But some years ago
Marthos
and other MSX game hackers edited them to work with standard SCC chips.
And btw the SCC version of Nemesis owns !!!
