When this happens to me I put it aside for a while and work on something
else.
Or if I can't do that because it is a piece I have to learn for a
deadline/performance/whatever, I will take whatever it is within the piece
that I'm having trouble with and find something similar (for example,
triplets or, something with a specific rhythm or string crossing that I
can't quite "get") to it - such as an etude, or another piece written in a
similar style, and I'll work that for a while...then go back to it.
