Hi there,
Knowledge of basic harmony is surely a help in recognizing "words" and "phrases"
rather than single notes.
The more concentration, the better--COMPLETE focus on the score is an absolute
necessity. I was not a good sight reader until I tried accompanying myself one
summer, singing while playing. One can start with simple songs.

even computer software that might help me over this hurdle?
