Hey everyone!
It's been a little more than a year since we announced the last big change at Musical Justice when we moved to CD quality sound. Back then, we celebrated the new station launch the same day as our beloved Philly gents, Marah , released their "20,000 Streets Under The Sky" CD.
Well, today those same Bielanko brothers (with the rest of the band in tow) have released not one, but TWO new CDs... "If You Didn't Laugh, You'd Cry" and their first Christmas CD, "A Christmas Kind of Town". Obviously, we knew we had to step it up if we were going to keep pace with our East Coast brothers here at Musical Justice.
So today, we're announcing the launch of MusicalJustice.com , a new website which we think will significantly improve your enjoyment of the Musical Justice webcast. The website includes a new MJ Blog which highlights the latest news on Musical Justice artists and LOTS of links to downloadable music - for example, today's entry featured some great live Ryan Adams and Jeff Tweedy tracks!
You'll also find playlists and listener charts , as well as the new Musical Justice store . We think you'll really dig our "Authentic Rock Snob" line of shirts and merchandise, so take a look!
To celebrate the launch of the website, we're giving away free limited edition mix CDs featuring some of the newer artists and rare tracks we play on the air. We'll give the CDs away to (at least) the first 25 people to find and click on the CONTEST button on the website and send us an e-mail including name and address. To find the CONTEST button, go to the website, click on the "$$$" option and scroll to the bottom of the page.
In addition to the free mix CD giveaway, we're also going to have a contest over the next 30 days and the winner will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate. To enter, all you have to do is post messages on the new MJ Bulletin Board . Every time you post, you get another entry in the drawing. Ten posts = ten entries! We've got a few conversation starters out there already like "Best Rock Movie Ever?" or "Least Favorite Song You've Heard on Musical Justice", but don't let those topics limit you! We'll announce the first winner after November 18th.
We hope you enjoy the changes and we welcome your feedback. Drop us a note... or better yet, post it on our bulletin board and get an entry in the contest!
Thanks for listening,
Jeff
