If you don't know who Jake Shimabukuro is then I haven't been doing my job.
Jake is
someone, that if he catches on in the US as he has in Japan and Hawaii... will
change the
worlds preception of this toy they call "Ukulele".

To me Jake is a mix of old standard uke with a contemporary sound, with the
extream
blending of Jimi Hendrix and Santana. At the end of the article above.. are two

He just signed with the William Morris Agency last September and has appeared on
the
Late NIght with Conan O'Brien show.

If Jake comes to a town near your... beg, borrow or steal tickets to see him.
Jake was in
Seattle recently and in a neighboring town... tickets were very inexprensive...
$25 and $15
respectively. Now that he's with WM I expect the venues to be more expensive.

Jakes DVD "Playing Loud" has some great instruction as one of the extras... he
even walks
you very slowly through his "picking" of the great Beatles tune "Yesterday".
