I've heard alot of "why do all the songs sound alike". I am amazed at how many
of the
songs I get are in C and only use at the most 3 chords... and they all are the
same.. only
mixed up, sorta. You want something more than "chunka-chunka-chunka" going on
forever.

Right now early in your ukulele career... it's hard to get away from that
"chunka-chunka-
chunka". You have to get that skill level up.... but you're ready to move on..
sorta.

Well here's a book for you. It's put out by Hal Leonard books, called "Ukulele
Method Book
1" by Lil' Rev.

I would say this book is good for the beginner up to the intermediate level
player that
wants to start doing some "picking" and some new "strums". Something to play
around
with while you master all those new chords coming your way.

This "Ukulele Method BooK 1" starts you out learning how to pick - scales,
simple songs...
gets you familiar with the fret board.. shows you the chords by family.... and
then moves you into simple stums and their variations....

Those variations will get ya going - like.... rubbing your tummy and patting you
head at
the same time.

I saw it on Amazon for a little over $5 (I think I paid way more at my local
music store)

What makes it a brezze is Lil' Rev enclosed a CD... Lil' Rev is another
wonderful
entertainer/teacher I had the pleasure to meet and be mentored by while at the
Portland Uke Fest this past summer....

Good uke'n
