  And Panpim's apologies to you all:  My post yesterday was truncated and could
be misleading.  Mr. Kenney's program this Sunday (Jan 13th) program is not
solely on the 2008 CD Sneak Preview of "Ask Me Again."  Mr. Kenney will be doing
a lot of 2007 album review, with the new Nancy CDs being previewed as one of the
goodies of 2008.  I am guessing he will just introduce it and play a few tracks.

  We hope that the program with David will be a full-length Nancy discussion.

Our store distributors want to make a big splash with Nancy, so they've asked us
to please not make them available on line before hand so that when they sell in
stores there will be a big outpouring for them and the stores will have the
opportunity to really go to town with publicity and sales. I know this is
disappointing because we wanted the fans to have them before Christmas, but the
distributors feel that if the CD's are out there the stores will be discouraged
from buying them and it will dilute the ultimate impact of Nancy. Since our goal
in life is to have as many people hear Nancy as possible, we feel it necessary
to comply with them. So we're asking our core fans to please be patient and to
storm the stores when the CD's come out on Valentine's Day.

Years ago, I obtained boxes of Nancy LaMott Christmas CDs in a federal
auction when Midder Music's distributor went bankrupt. I would like to
get rid of my remaining stock. I don't have an exact inventory, but I

Dearest Team Nancy:

I know you are probably on your Thanksgiving holiday, and I hate to bother you
with this.

In an attempt to make the Nancy page on Wikipedia in the required form, I was
corresponding with a Wikipedia volunteer, Ansell, who has helped shape this
page.  It seems we need REFERENCES in order to "verify" the information on the
article.

David is so busy with the CD and DVD production, and I will not bother him with
this paperwork.  I have lost touched with Rusty Kransky who might have a lot of
materials.  I just have to ask all of us to help out.

Does anyone have anything at all that was in print, for example, the MAMM
article??  I don't have the year, volume, and pages, so I can't quote it.  Also,
any reviews in Playbill Online or something like that would suffice the
requirement.

I understand that all the reviews were rather old materials, except for those on
the LIVE album, but they carry more weight than the words of mouth we put on
there.

Please do help out in any way you can.  You can go in and edit the article
without having to register.  Or you can send details to me, I will do it.  If
it's too technical for me, I will have to bother Robert to use his expertise to
rescue the page.

Right now, Wikipedia has "tagged" that page and asked for a cleanup.

   "Does she have a printed biography? The information from her manager needs to
be verified somehow. Are there newspaper articles relating to her career, or
reviews of her work by critics? I assume that there is a review community for
cabaret performers.
   "What I am trying to say overall though is that the information must fit
inside the main policies, being verifiability, no original research, and neutral
point of view (essentially that the language and the article tone are from the
appropriate viewpoint for an encyclopedia article). I also have to make sure
that the things that wikipedia is not are not happening on this page. The main
thing I want to make sure is not happening in that respect is that Wikipedia is
not a memorial (which does not mean the page cannot be a full life story, just
that it should not be in the style of a newspaper obituary). Hope that helps,

Please do anything you deem appropriate--arrange and expand anyway you like. 
And thank you for fixing my grammar!!  (I'm not a native English speaker.)  I
think the article will need to be "wikified" (as they call it), which I guess
getting it into the general format of any Wikipedia article, with headings, a
contents box, and all.

Anything you and everyone can do to make it informative will be great.  I will
also try to look into getting links in with all those names.  You can change the
entire article if you want, as long as it has the format specified by Wikipedia.

like the one on the KeepsakeMelodies, so it was immediately rejected as a
copyright violation kind of post.

   I am clueless on how to deal with this, Gang. But y'all (as well as anyone)
can go in and edit the Nancy and David pages for now.

So folks, let's be fans of David on Everything Old Is New.
And we have a new member on Team Nancy, my friend George from the C's list. 
George heard Nancy live 4 times.  (One of the most enviable things in the
world!)  I have asked Bro Leo to add George to the list.  I am so glad that
George finally found us.  George must have missed my babbling about Nancy on
Newville back in 1996 before Bro John, Bro Leo, and I helped get Team Nancy up
and running (and before some dear friends disowned me).  WELCOME, George!

And the last piece of news today from me.  In about 5 hours from now, I am going
to meet our own SCOTT BARNES for lunch here in Bangkok!!!  That's the exciting
personal news I've kept to share with you this week.  Isn't that more exciting
than hearing I get married or elope?  ;-D

Dear Team Nancy:
   Our fellow fan on Team Nancy, Scott, from Lilburn,  GA, has been so sweet to
share a few things with me that y’all should also be informed.
     Scott is on the Mary Chapin Carpenter list and on the Eva Cassidy Yahoo
Discussion group (900+ members) for which he is the chief moderator.  He has
alerted fellow fans to experience Nancy through the YouTube link.  (I can see
that his mailbox may soon be flooded with messages to learn more about Nancy.)
   Thanks to Scott’s thoughtfulness, he has introduced me to Mr. David Kenney,
a DJ host of the radio program “Everything Old Is New Again” on WBAI.  In
Scott’s words: “David continues to mention Nancy on his radio show with
great frequency.  He refers to Nancy nearly every chance he can on the air.  He
obviously cares for her music and her friendship greatly.”
   So I wrote to David asking for a permission to pass on Nancy info to him so he
will always be in touch and can in turn share with his audience.  Thanks to our
common Nancy fanship (is there such word?), he graciously accepted the request
and asked that his e-mail account be added to the Team Nancy list.  David’s
e-mail has been sent to Bro Leo, our List Manager, who will add David to our
group of Nancy fans.
   And this piece of news comes from David himself:  “On the last Sunday of
November, I will present my annual Nancy LaMott feature.  For more info and
updates, please visit www.oldisnew.org”
     So any of us who may be in the broadcast range of WBAI (out of New  York
City) but have not tuned in, here’s another station that is keeping Nancy
forever alive on the air.  Please tune in and spread the word around.
     Our dear David Friedman and Chris Marlowe will be happy to know that they

Dearest Team Nancy:  I got this from Chris yesterday.

  "I wanted to give you an update in regard to Nancy.
  We should know in December if the money is in place to have a TV movie of the
week done about Nancy's life and career. It is still a bit of a long shot--- but
oh my- the difference it would make.
  That is why the posting on YOUTUBE is also so so important. First of all-
YOUTUBE caters to a young viewership...that both buys and watches--- and is very
tech and computer savvy.
  Most people who are her fans have never seen her in person- let alone in an
actual video footage.
  I think it is a totally great way to network and let people see for themselves.
Not everyone has to like her----but she is awfully hard not to love!
  Hence - any spreading of the word of the YOUTUBE listing--- and asking each
Nancy team member to be like a tree and grow branches for Nancy.
  It would stir up a lot of interest in a new and powerful way.
  ALSO: within 2007 we will have actual GREAT video footage on a DVD, for sale.
It will be most of and the best of her actual TV appearances on network
television. And some of back from when I had a mustache. Oh my gosh the years
are flying...
  Plus--- David is very close to finishing the mix of the new album "ASK ME
AGAIN" which is a 2 CD set-that will be of the performances we did on live radio
here in NYC. The audio quality is rather excellent -- and what is more - they
are actual "live" as they went out on the air performances. Totally awesome---
they are unedited and just as we did them in the moment on WQEW, which was
Jonathan Schwartz station.
  Plus the at least 4 other CD, and then DVD of her shows, etc., can come out
later. Nancy would be turning 55 this year if she were alive -- shocking to me.
I only see her forever as young. And-she still has a lot of life in her."

  I would encourage every one of us at Team Nancy to spread the YouTube link
around by adding it to our signatures to our e-mail messages.  This way our
friends and family members who have not yet surrendered their hearts to Nancy(!)
can see and hear her and Chris for themselves.  I have added the link to all of
my e-mail addresses, even to the one I use for Carpenters fan mail account.

  Like Chris has suggested, Team Nancy can be David's and Chris's strongest group
of ambassadors for Nancy.  Come on, folks.  That fan on YouTube has supplied us
with a powerful evidence we can use.

  Let's get the world for Nancy!

     Hello Team Nancy,

  The next CD is in the works - it's a 2 CD set of the 20 songs that Jonathan
Schwartz plays on the radio that have never been released. It's fantastic, but
because it's songs from all different sources and of all different qualities,
it's taking a long time to get finished. We're trying hard for Valentine's Day
although it may be a little later.

  We're also hard at work on a DVD which is spectacular, showing highlights of
Nancy's career from her start in San Francisco to her national television
appearances, all the way thru her last appearance, 9 days before her death, on
Charles Grodin.

  And, keep your fingers crossed, we have people who want to make a major motion
picture about Nancy's life.

  We have the whole 2 hour concert from California from which the You Tube clip
is taken. It's very dark but we're going to see if we can have it restored so
it's lighter. We'll keep you posted.

  I'm thrilled and heartwarmed at your support of the memory of Nancy.

  I found that someone had put up this wonderful clip of me and Nancy in
Sacramento from 1992. Go take a look at it. We have so much material to come
out- and this looks like very much the stuff of a cult favorite to me. PanPim, I
especially hope that the Nancy fan club can spread the news of this clip.
  But of course- we will be putting out all the TV appearances someday soon: the
stuff from GOOD MORNING AMERICA, and the TODAY SHOW etc. but this is private and
