Hey Everybody!

Phish is almost back! They are reuniting in Hampton, VA this
weekend for 3 shows, and we are celebrating this by throwing a show
with The Atmosferics, BuzzUniverse, and Lemon Juice on Thursday, March
5 at The Saint! Greg from BuzzUniverse approached me with a great idea
of 3 bands each playing a Phish song while playing an "Asbury Rising"
Concert Series show at The Saint. I was all for it, and even threw the
challenge back at Greg asking, "What if we get all 3 bands to play at
least 2 Phish songs?" and the idea was really formed. Now, here's the
kicker - I'm going to play a mini-acoustic set of Phish tunes in
between BuzzUniverse and the Atmosferics. I don't play out often, and
when I do I try to make it special...I'll be billed as "Phan" and I'll
try to do my best for you guys...Lemon Juice opens up the night, and
will play at least 2 Phish songs and original material. Then,
BuzzUniverse will take the stage and play at least 2 Phish songs and
original material. Then, "Phan" will play at least 3 Phish songs solo
acoustic, and closing out the night will be our really good friends
The Atmosferics (who will also play at least 2 Phish songs and
original material.) ...so come to The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ this
Thursday for a Pre-Hampton Phish Tribute Show! It's all part of the
weekly "Asbury Rising" Concert Series. It's $7 for those 21+ and $12
for those who are 18 - 20 years old. (We'll let you in on a little
secret, too - The Saint is having mirror scanner lights installed
permanently on the 4th, so this is going to be a hot show visually, as
well!)

From CrazyRedBeard:
"Speaking of Phish…I seem to have worked up a little triptych for the
three nights at Hampton! Each poster is going for $15 for this
pre-sale, $45 for a numbered set. This will be a limited edition
printing, with each poster numbered and signed to commemorate this
historic music event. Posters will sell for more to the general public
(at least $5 above base prices listed above), so you guys are getting
first crack at these posters at a lower price. All posters will be 14
x 20 with a 13.5 x 19 image (small border for matting/framing).
Shipping and handling=$8 for any amount of posters."
Go to www.crazyredbeard.com for more info.

And, next weekend is gonna be a blast, too! Kicking things off
early on Thursday the 12th is another "Asbury Rising" show with Kurt
and James from Proof Rock, Proud Simon from NYC, and our good friends
Project 222! Then, on Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th
we're back at Paul's Tavern in Lake Como, NJ for our (can you believe
it?!) 5th Annual CABIN FEVER! Friday, Turtle Soup headlines with
special guest The Doug Mikula Band closing out the night after Outside
the Box opens the show and The Attic do a showcase set. Saturday
night, Juggling Suns celebrate the release of their new CD "Zero Zero
Eight" (which was recorded at NYE '07 at the Stone Pony) as the
night's headliners, and Infinite Detour opens the show followed by
Karmic Juggernaut. Keith Kenny showcases in the front room in between
sets. Entry is just $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday, or $20 for both
nights!

PHAN PHEST 5.0 tickets are ON SALE NOW at www.phanphest.com - get
in while the gettin's good! Tickets are starting at just $45.00 (and
they include parking and camping for 3 days and nights)...they'll

Hey now!

Thanks for making the 4th Annual Winter Wonder Ball at the Donegal
Saloon in Kearny, NJ, a big success last Friday night!

We're continuing our weekly series at The Saint, the "Asbury Rising"
Concert Series, this Thursday with the return of 3 great bands back to
the Phanphest stage! Starting at 9 PM, and bringing the funk, will be
Underground Logic!! In the middle spot, are our good friends Dub
Proof! They killed it at Wonder Ball, and they'll be doing the same
at The Saint! Closing out the night will be our long time friends
from North Jersey, and no strangers to the Phanphest stage, The Jack!!
(We just confirmed these guys and gal for Phan Phest 5.0 - but we
won't tell you much more than that except that tickets are on sale now
at the pre-sale price of just $45! Get 'em online at www.phanphest.com)

That's right! Pre-sale for Phan Phest 5.0 has begun!! You can get
tickets through our website via PayPal, and checks and money orders
will be accepted as well, but that info has yet to hit our webpage so
stay tuned on how to get pre-sale tickets if you don't do PayPal!

And, coming up quickly is one of our biggest events this year - the
5th Annual "Cabin Fever" Phest!!

Cabin Fever this year will have Turtle Soup headlining on Friday night
after Outside the Box and The Attic open the show! Special guests,
The Doug Mikula Band, will close out the festivities. Saturday night,
Juggling Suns make their return to the Phanphest stage - their first
show with us since Phan Phest 4.0! Opening up the night will be our
good friends Infinite Detour, and in the coveted middle spot will be
Karmic Juggernaut! In between sets on Saturday, in the front room,
will be very special guest, Keith Kenny!

Cabin Fever is just $10 for Friday, $15 for Saturday, and $20 for both
nights! It's a steal!!

So, come out this week, and we hope to see you at the 5th Annual Cabin
Fever at Paul's Tavern & Cabin in Lake Como, NJ on March 13th and
14th! Festival season is almost upon us!!!! Woo-hoo!!

Hey now!

Keeping with the Phanphest tradition, we have another great show for
you this Thursday night...and we're really excited with what we're
presenting at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ. We're opening the show up
with The Meathooks. These guys debuted with us playing a show with
Green Tag Sale, and blew us away with their performance. Then, we
have our good friends, Licorice, back for a set, all the way from NYC.
Members appeared last with Rebecca Hart & the Sexy Children. Closing
out the night, from Philadelphia via Ithica, NY, is the way out there
and groovin' band Igor's Egg with the keyboardist from Codename. You
might not be familiar with all of these bands, but it's a great show
that will take you by surprise! Tons of great new beer at the Saint,
and our usual specials! 21+? Just $7.00...18 - 20? Just $12.00. Come
rage it with us!

Friday night, we celebrate our 4th Annual "Winter Wonder Ball" at the
very friendly Donegal Saloon in Kearny, NJ. Semi-formal attire is
requested, but not required, for this show. Also refered to as
"Hippie Prom," this event is always a hoot, and the line-up this year
really features some great talent. From Asbury Park, NJ, Mash McLain
opens the show at 9 PM. Her heartfelt lyrics and acoustic style will
ease us into the night. We love Mash, and so will you. Following her
will be the sexy sounds of Dub Proof. These guys really know how to
lay it down, and their groove will warm us all up for some more of
Keith Kenny at the Donegal! Closing out the night will be Project 222
with special guest Andrew Lenaghanfrom, most recently, Juggling Suns
and Green Tag Sale on drums! These guys tear it up, are on the rise,
and will keep you dancing...the show is 21+ and just $10. Be there in
the best dress you can make it there in! We so stoked to be returning
to the Donegal!

Next Thursday, we have another show at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ,
that will get you movin' 'n' groovin' for just $7.00! A little bit of
attitude and a lot of reggae will open up the night as Underground
Logic make their return to the Phanphest stage! If Winter Wonder Ball
wasn't enough, Dub Proof returns to The Saint to show us exactly why
we booked them so close together - 'cause we can't get enough of their
excellent sound! Closing out the night will be our good friends, The
Jack! These guys and gal really bring the heat, and February 26th
will prove to be no different...good friends and three great bands for
$7.00...what's not to like?!? As always, great drinks specials,
too...and the show is 18+ to get in!

March 5th, it's on like Donkey Kong! Greg from BuzzUniverse
approached me with a great idea of 3 bands each playing a Phish song
while playing an "Asbury Rising" Concert Series show at The Saint, to
celebrate the return of Phish (who are playing shows on the 6th, 7th,
and 8th in Hampton, VA). I was all for it, and even threw the
challenge back at Greg asking, "What if we get all 3 bands to play at
least 2 Phish songs?" and the idea was really formed. I even decided
to say, "Hey, as the promoter, I'll get in on the act and play 3 Phish
songs acousticly...so, yup, it's ON on March 5th...Lemon Juice opens
up the night, and will play at least 2 Phish songs and original
material. Then, BuzzUniverse will take the stage and play at least 2
Phish songs and original material. Then, "Phan" will play at least 3
Phish songs solo acoustic, and closing out the night will be our
really good friends The Atmosferics (who will also play at least 2
Phish songs and original material.) In keeping with the Phanphest
tradition of "keeping it real" the show is 18+ and just $7.00! ($12.00
for 18 - 20 year olds)

PHAN PHEST 5.0 tickets are ON SALE NOW at www.phanphest.com - get in
while the gettin's good! Tickets are starting at just $45.00 (and
they include parking and camping for 3 days and nights)...they'll go
up to $55.00 when we announce some of the bands playing...they'll go
up again to $65.00 when we announce more bands...and then they will be
$75.00 at the gate. We'll be offering early entry again on Thursday,
August 20th, for a fee of $10 per person starting around 5 PM.
Everybody on the property can stay until 12 noon on Monday, August
24th. Get in now while the ticket cost is so low!!! We're trying to
hook you up now at the great rate of just $45.00 for the whole
weekend!!! http://www.phanphest.com/festival/2009/tickets.html

Hello friends!

Phan Phest 5.0 is coming! And, so is pre-sale for what will prove to
be the best Phest yet!

To celebrate that, we've changed the look of our website and launched
our community's social networking site, too. This means more show
listings, videos, pics, and audio, as well as a new forum! Let us know
what you think.

So, register for that part of our web presence, and start telling us
who you'd like to see at this year's festival! The dates are August
20-23, 2009, and we are happy to say that we'll be returning to the
Kempton Community Recreation Center for this rain or shine outdoor,
camping and music festival! There are lots of pictures from last year.
Check them out.

Last year was a blast, and this year will be even better, so get on
board the train to Kempton! Pre-sale is coming REALLY soon!!

We can't wait!

To tide us over, in the meantime, we have a slew of great shows coming
your way in Asbury Park, NJ and beyond!

This Thursday is going to be another great "Asbury Rising" Concert
Series show at The Saint, with the return of Lemon Juice, herbie, and
ATM all making returns! We invited herbie, from Pennsylvania, out to
do a show with us after seeing them play with Turtle Soup in December.
And, of course, ATM and Lemon Juice are Jersey Phresh, so it's gonna
be another hot night at The Saint in the Winter! 18+ to party
($12.00) and 21+ to drink ($7.00), so make it out!

Up next on Thursday, February 19th at The Saint is the return of The
Meathooks and Licorice with special guests!

And, on Friday, February 20th, we'll continue the jam at The Donegal
Saloon in Kearny, NJ, with our 4th Annual "Hippie Prom" - the Winter
Wonder Ball!!! Each year is a hoot, with all sorts of phans coming
out dressed to the nines for our own phamily soiree, and we hope to
see you there!! Let's make our 2nd "Phanphest North" show just as
good as the last one, if not better! Check out
http://www.phanphest.com/20090220_WWB4.html for more info and pictures
from Winter Wonder Balls Past.

And, the hits will keep coming with our Pre-Hampton Return of Phish
Tribute on March 5th, and the 5th Annual Cabin Fever Phest, plus a
bunch of "Asbury Rising" shows, taboot!

We hope you're well, and want to see you out at the shows!

Hey Now Everybody!

We hope that you've been having a great year so far! We certainly
have been, and this week's show will certainly continue all of the
good vibes that are flowing...

This week's offering sees our good friends from Philly, Codename,
headline The Saint (the first show of their Winter Tour, and their
first show back since playing the Electric Factory in Philly.) Also
on the bill is New Brunswick, NJ-based The Dirty Drop. (They are
bringing the same lighting rig that they lent us on New Year's Eve,
and will be throwing it down for the first time for Phanphest.) And
to top all of that off, our good friend, Keith Kenny, will be opening
the show with his eye-popping acoustic loop artistry at 9 PM. (Look
for Keith Kenny again on our 4th Annual Winter Wonder Ball show in
February, too!)

This is going to be one Phantastic night of music at The Saint that
you don't want to miss! One of the last times Codename played the room
their set clocked in at 128 minutes long! That's over 2 hours! Who
knows how long they'll play their first Winter Tour show this Thursday?

There's certainly one way to find out. Come to the show! "The shows
will go on, so go!"

On tap for next week is the return of Gongzilla, Turtle Soup, and
Jerry Joseph feat. Bret Mosley!

And, February is shaping up to be another great month for Phanphest
shows starting off with our good friends The Domino Effect and Status
Green playing on February 5th with newcomers, from Flemington, NJ,
Sleight of Hand opening the show.

Turtle Soup brought Harrisburg, PA-based herbie. to The Saint for
their annual Seasoned Greetings show back in December, and we were so
impressed that we set up a gig with them for February 12th. NYC-based
Licorice makes their return to the "Asbury Rising" Concert Series at
the Saint on February 19th, and then we'll celebrate our 4th Annual
"Winter Wonder Ball" (aka "Hippie Prom") at the Donegal Saloon in
Kearny, NJ, as part of our "Phanphest North" monthly series on Friday,
February 20th.

Lots of great stuff coming up, so we hope to see you out on the
scene...Come out this week for Codename, The Dirty Drop and Keith Kenny!

Hey everybody!

Thanks to everybody who have recently signed up to our weekly e-mail.
The recent shows have been great, and we've been seeing a lot of old
friends and plenty of new faces. It's been wonderful, and a phantastic
way to start the year off.

We'll be stressing the idea of community this year, and hope to be an
oasis from the every day for all of you who care about experiencing
live music. As we introduce new acts to the Phanphest stage, we hope
that you'll embrace each act for what it is, and appreciate the level
of musicianship each act offers. Some of the much younger bands have
really been impressing us as of late, so we encourage you to take a
shot on coming to our shows even when you don't know the bands playing
the show.

Many of these acts have grown over the past year, and we'll be
celebrating both older acts and newer acts all year long. We
appreciate the fact that you appreciate the shows we throw, and we can
only think about how to make your experience the best that it can be.
With that in mind, we ask you to become a member on our message boards
and celebrate the community we are building together in cyberspace.
Post your thoughts on the bands and stay connected with one another
while not at shows.

Speaking of shows, we have a bunch of great shows coming up to tell
you about. Occasionally, we may feature a non-Phanphest show that may
be of interest to you as well. Why? Because the community is
constantly growing and we want to help celebrate the bands we book
beyond our own shows, too.

We strive to make our shows the best they can be, so here's what's on
tap for January:

Thursday, Jan 15th @ The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ

S. Preston (http://www.myspace.com/sprestonmusic)
Skip's Museum (http://www.myspace.com/skipmuseum)
Under New Ownership (http://www.myspace.com/undernewownership)
The Saint, Asbury Park, NJ (http://www.thesaintnj.com)

Go to the new and improved http://www.phanphest.com for upcoming shows
and new content.

Hope to see you at the shows!

Drew, JohnnyBud, and the Phanphest Crew

P.S. Please check out this birthday show for a friend of The Brainbox
this Saturday in Sayerville. The Brainbox will be playing two sets of
music, there's no cover to get in, and there will be some great drink
specials. The Brainbox has the Phanphest seal of approval, and they
are throwing down a big party, so we want you to know about it! Here's
the details:

"The holidays are over, you're back from Jam-cruise, your apt is
freezing, you're SICK of spending the nights with your cat(s), you
need to get out, you're tired of staying in, you need to meet new
friends, there's nothing good on TV, you need A PARTY!!!

Whatever the reason, we are providing a good ol' fashioned PUB PARTY
this Saturday night to help shake out those post-holiday blahs!!! Good
friends, brews, booze, and tunes is what you need. No jukeboxs, NO
COVER, and NO REASON you shouldn't come out!

Come out early and enjoy the sound of DJ "The DA" who will be spinning
a mix of Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, and Break Beat (2 sets) to get the party
started. The Brainbox will also be performing 2 sets of their unique
mix of video game-inspired Electro-Space-Funk, alternating between DJ
sets. We will have a few special guest musicians on hand to help us
out, including Juggling Suns keyboardist GUS VIGO, among others ;) I
can't divulge all our secrets...

In addition, the boys from VORCAN.com will be out to paint in their
unique collaborative style. These guys are simply amazing, they have
to be seen to be believed!!!"

NATURAL BREAKDOWN hasn't played a Phanphest gig since Phan Phest 4.0
this past August where they played two sets, and they haven't stopped
going! They keep on touring and picking up steam wherever they play
spreading good vibes to all! They bring their positive vibes to Paul's
Tavern in Lake Como, NJ. We're so pleased to have our great friends
play once more with us!

They headline PHAMILY REUNION with 2 sets, and will be joined by the
smokin' hot new-and-improved jam wizards THE JACK! Longtime friends
with Phanphest, The Jack has brand spankin' new material that just
makes you want to groove. Fronted by the beautiful Rosie, we're surely
in for a treat as the guitars will soar, the keys will lay down a
solid foundation with the bass and drums, and we'll hear some great
new stuff! We got a preview of some of the stuff several weeks back at
The Saint, and they sound excellent!

Opening the show is former Woodfish guitarist (as well as two time
nominee at the 2007 and 2008 Asbury Music Awards for Top Guitarist)
Doug Mikula, with his new project, The DOMINO EFFECT. With other
seasoned musicians and nominees in the line-up, the band will impress
you with a new sound. A bit jazz, a bit funk, and a bit jam, the music
smokes. So make sure to get there early to check them out. We see a
bright future for this band, and you can say that you saw them way
back when.

Please remember to bring good vibes to this event, because now is the
season to be thankful for what bounties we all have. It's with that
spirit that we throw Phamily Reunion every year, and hope that we see
a ton of smiling faces this Saturday. Not only are we all friends at
these shows, but we are one big family, so it's once again time for
our PHAMILY REUNION! Come on out, and give thanks that we are all here
together, able to share in the groove!

See you Saturday at Paul's for Natural Breakdown, The Jack, and Domino
Effect!!

Hey Now...

Are you looking for the party?

You ARE?!

Well, that's a good thing, because the party is going to be this
Thursday, October 2nd at The Saint in Asbury Park, NJ, AND Friday,
October 3rd at the Donegal Saloon in Kearny, NJ.

First, it's our weekly "Asbury Rising" show at The Saint
(http://www.thesaintnj.com) with South Lake Tahoe, California-based
BLUE TURTLE SEDUCTION (http://www.myspace.com/blueturtleseduction)
...they are so much fun with their "jam-newgrass" sound that's been
described as "gypsy rock" that we decided to give these guys 2 full
sets. The WATERBIRD PROJECT (http://www.myspace.com/waterbirdproject)
opens the show, and I'm sure will set an awesome vibe. This is one of
those shows that you want to support...local acoustic guys opening up
for a kick ass out-of-town band that will get your ass shakin' and
your body movin'. Best part? It's just $7.00 with drink specials all
night long. Check out Blue Turtle Seduction at
www.blueturtlemusic.com - we're warming up for NY Harvest Fest &
Freedom Fair/Political Rally where Blue Turtle Seduction are playing,
so come on out and check out what it's all about!

Friday, October 3rd, we continue the party at the Donegal Saloon
(http://www.myspace.com/donegalsaloon337) in Kearny, NJ with our very
first "Phanphest North" show! And, it's gonna be one hell of a show!
First up is Phan Phest 3.0 and Phan Phest 4.0 alumnus KEITH KENNY
(http://www.myspace.com/keithkenny), who's playing for a few hours
starting around 9 PM...and then, it's the last performance of side
project JACK 'N' THE BOX (http://www.myspace.com/jackntheboxnj)
(featuring 2007's Asbury Music Award winner for Top Guitarist, Jeremy
Korpas) around 11:30 PM. Donegal Saloon is a great room with great
people fostering a great vibe, so go!! It's gonna be a blast! It's
about time that we've connected with our friends up north for a
weekend show!

from Hoagie of Jack 'N the Box:
"Friday night, come out to the Donegal Saloon ( www.donegalsaloon.com )
to bid farewell to Jack N' the Box. JNTB is a side-project that
weaves the talents of 3 NJ jambands into 1 improvisational music
experience. Tom Keoster (guitar) & myself (bass) THE BRAINBOX meet
Alzie Sisco (drums) & Squigs (synth) THE Jack, forming the rhythm
section of this outfit. We are joined with Jeremy "J-Fresh" Korpas
(guitar) of Asbury Park fame to make music for dancing feet and
smiling faces. Drawing inspiration from dance music of all kinds, as
well as video game themes and well-known "teases", we just take a "go
for it" approach to jamming."

We have a bunch of other great shows coming up for our "Asbury Rising"
concert series, as well as our annual "Phantasma" show this year on
October 24, at Paul's Tavern and Cabin
(http://www.myspace.com/paulstavern) in Lake Como, NJ, with TURTLE
SOUP (http://www.myspace.com/turtlesoupband), the MIXXTAPE
(http://www.myspace.com/thetimnayfieldmixtape), and the BRAINBOX
(http://www.myspace.com/thebrainbox)...it's coming up fast, so stay
tuned for more info on this great weekend show!!

Oh yeah...and we have the legendary Stone Pony again this year for
NYE, so start making plans now to be there!

Hey Now!

We hope that you are doing well.

We wanted to inform you about some great Phanphest shows, including
tonight's show!

Tonight, at The Saint, in Abury Park, NJ, we're offering up some
variety tonight! Headlining tonight is two-time 2007 Asbury Music
Award winner Arlan Feiles. Yup, everyone is starting to gear up for
this year's AMAs, so what better way to celebrate that award show on
the horizon than having the "Top Americana Artist" and "Top
Keyboardist" from last year headline our show tonight? None!
Before Arlan will be those guys who played last year's NYE show and
Phan Phest 4.0 this year - Quimby Mountain Band! A lot can be
expected from these young dudes - they sound phantastic, and just keep
getting better and better!
Opening tonight's show is Ben Wilton (of Garuda, and incidentally was
one of our interns in the past), so come on out early and show Ben
some support! It's gonna be a great night of music at a great venue,
no doubt! And, it's just $7.00! 18 -20 years old is only $12. Show
starts at 9 PM, with doors at 8 PM. Drink specials all night
long...support the live original music scene tonight!

Next Thursday...Joe Harvard Band and Keith Kenny open for 2 sets of
Green Tag Sale at The Saint. $7.00

Oct 2nd - From California, 2 sets of Blue Turtle Seduction at The
Saint with special guests. $7.00

Oct 3rd - "Phanphest North" kicks off at the Donegal Saloon in Kearny
with the last performance of Jack 'n' The Box with Jeremy Korpas, as
well as our good friend, Keith Kenny!

Hey everyone,

Just so you know we're taking part in Phanphest Entertainment's
biggest and best production to date during PHAN PHEST 4.0 - their
annual outdoor camping, music and arts festival at the Kempton
Community Recreation Center in Kempton, PA, over the August 22nd -
24th weekend. Actually, there is early entry for just $10 starting on
Thursday, August 21st at 5 PM, with a dance party featuring DJ Rudy
for at least 3 hours in one of the main all-weather pavilions from 8
PM - 11 PM...and, you can stay over on Sunday night for free, until
Monday, August 25th at 11 AM.

It's gonna be one hell of a party at their new home (hopefully for
years and years to come!) So, come on out and show us some support
during this festival with a whole host of kickass bands from a bunch
of genres - this music is top notch, just like us! As the promoter
Drew likes to say to people, "You know some of these bands playing?
Well, all the ones you know kick ass, right? Well, so do the rest of
the bands that you haven't heard yet."

We're one of those bands that he's talking about. And, we're part of
this coming weekend. It's worth coming out to dance your ass off all
weekend long.

Music is being played at the early entry dance party on Thursday, and
then the festival will open it's gates on Friday at 10 AM, with live
original music kicking off at 12 noon. Music continues all day until
2:30 AM. Saturday music will play from 9:30 AM until 2:30 AM. Sunday
music plays from 9:30 AM until 8 PM. Over 25 bands will be playing
two ALL WEATHER PAVILIONS (70' x 140' and 80' by 160'), an indoor
stage (for late-night and some performances during the day), and a
recently added acoustic campground stage!!

So, when you are walking back to your campsite for food or drinks,
swing by the acoustic stage because you may catch a surprise second
set from one of the acts playing the festival or one of the additions
to the bill! There will be music EVERYWHERE!! And, IT'S ALL
EXCELLENT MUSIC!!

This festival isn't about any one band...it's about all of us coming
together and smiling, laughing, playing, and having fun! Remember to
have a great time, and treat everybody as friends and family, because
it's what Phan Phest is all about! Let's keep the spirit and energy
going with great vibes all weekend, and we can truly see what magic
happens when fans get together to make something awesome happen!

It's a great value, so bring some friends, and carpool when you can -
let's keep it all GREEN!

The venue is awesome, the bands are awesome, the location and
facilities are awesome, and this is going to be one of those festivals
that go down in the history books as one to remember! It's all about
the musical connectivity! So, BE THERE!!

We are happy to announce that Strangers Helping Strangers will be
joining us at PhanPhest again this year to conduct a non-perishables
food drive for the local food bank. Please bring a non-perishable
food, personal hygiene or feminine hygiene donation for the food
drive. SHS will be giving away thank you gifts to those who donate
including CD's, posters and concert tickets. Anyone who donates 25 or
more items will receive a limited edition artwork. Additional thank
you gifts TBA. Goto MySpace.com/SHStrangers for more information.

Oh boy, oh boy! We are so absolutely stoked right now for our annual

we'll waive your cover for the show you're coming to see!

This Wednesday, it's two of our Phan Phest 4.0 bands with the
legendary Gongzilla (http://www.myspace.com/gongzilla)!! Turtle Soup

(http://www.myspace.com/karmicjuggernaut) open the show, and Gongzilla
closes out the night! Wednesday's show is gonna pack quite the
musical punch and you should be there to witness it all go down. Do I
*really* need to say more about this show? I'll be surprised if the
building is left standing after this one! Admission is just $10.

If rippin' jammin' guitar jam 'n groove rock isn't so much your thing,
then we have another sweet musical morsel for your sonic tastebuds on
Thursday at The Saint. Waterbird Project
(http://www.myspace.com/waterbirdproject) will open the show with an
acoustic and mellow style to set the mood just right. Then, it's the
avant-garde and artistic styling of The Professor
(http://www.myspace.com/theprofessordelorme), in a multi-media display
that you'll want to catch, followed by Mike Montrey and Friends
(http://www.myspace.com/mikemontrey). Yup...the man's continuing his
legacy from New Brunswick roots well fed by ...water... and variety,
recently having toured with The Samples. It's a night of some good
friends getting together to celebrate the true art form that music
really is. Admission is $7.

Drink specials all night long at both shows...come out and chill with
us as we ramp up for the festival!

Either way, get together with your buds and feel the good vibes at our
two last shows before Phan Phest 4.0

your cover is waived at either show! Musical connectivity through the
live music experience...it's what we're all about.

Woo-hoo!! (It's on his actual birthday!)

PHAN PHEST 4.0 is fast approaching, and the response so far has been
tremendous! We're so stoked to be moving the festival so much closer
to all of our local fans (it's only 2 hours from Asbury Park this year
instead of 4 1/2 like last year) and is so going to be worth the
trip...we're encouraging everybody to carpool this year if they can -
think green, act green, BE GREEN! (Oh yeah - we have Green Tag Sale
playing late night, and Green Underground on the bill this year...)

This July, every Thursday at The Saint will be our 2nd Annual BATTLE
OF THE BANDS competition to get onto PHAN PHEST!!! 4 bands will play
each week - and the winner of each round will proceed to the festival
on Friday, August 22! This week, the competition kicks off with 4
great bands looking to make it to the fest! Not only will the winner
proceed to the festival, but all the winners will be showcased in the
final round on July 31st - to determine the order that they play at
the fest!

Lots of great bands are in the competition - and they all want to show
you what they've got - Doors each week will be at 8 PM, and music will
start around 8:30 PM. All 4 bands will get about 40 - 45 minutes to
play, and guest judges will be on hand each week to do the voting...if
you want to be a judge one of these weeks, please e-mail us and let us
know.

The competition was open to any and all bands on a first come, first
serve basis, and those who responded want to be part of our scene, so
come on out and support original music at the home of original music
in Asbury Park - The Saint!

Also, look for an article on Phanphest and what's in store this summer
in the local free weekly paper - The Islander - this week!

Things are picking up speed, and the line-up is really, really good

OK folks we are only a few days away from a great weekend in PA

From Jtams website....

EARTH DAY CONCERT featuring:
Natural Breakdown with special guest Cabinet

Jim Thorpe celebrates it's annual Earth Day Festival with many
environmentally-based attractions and musical events. The main event
will featuring two great bands coming together for a remarkable
evening of roots and jam music.

Headliner NATURAL BREAKDOWN: "Our goal is to raise consciousness
through sound and word. To bring crowds to intense peaks, through a
winding river of sound. Like nature breaks down rock over thousands
of years, and how everything can be broken down to its base
component, light: Natural Breakdown is a hopeful outlook and a call
for change."

Cabinet's country and bluegrass roots shine through in their musical
madness; "Home Now", "Mickey's Wink", "The Tower", and "Eleanor" are
a few favorites among a growing catalog. Old Crow Medicine
Show's "Wagon Wheel" is one cover that the group covers regularly for
the wanting ears of its audiences (vocal harmonies among all group
members radiate best in this tune). But their set lists are wholly
original collaborations.

$15 advance $18 DOS
Presented by JTAMS Productions (570) 325-0249

Hey now,

Just wanted to let y'all know that PHAN PHEST 4.0 tickets are on sale
now!!

Trust us, it's worth the wait.

We're moving the festival to beautiful Snipes Farm located in
Morrisville, PA in Bucks County. It will be held over the August 22 -
August 24, 2008 weekend, with an option at the gate on Thursday,
August 21, 2008 to come in early for just $10 payable at the gate.
We'll be holding a 70's disco dance party for early arrivals, as well
as other activities all evening long. Gates will officially open at 5
PM for the early arrivals, and music will start on Friday at 12 noon
with 4 of our Battle of the Bands winners. There's good reason to
stay all weekend long.

Already announced are Friday night's headliner the RYAN MONTBLEAU
BAND, Saturday night's headliner U-MELT, with each headliner being
followed by 2 hours of the JUGGLING SUNS!! Both RMB and U-Melt will
be playing 2 sets from 7 PM - 10 PM.

We have plenty more acts to anounce, but get in now while the gettin's
good. We are only selling 50 "early bird" tickets at $50 each, and
then our pre-sale price will be $60. Beat the gate price of $70 by
buying a ticket in advance!

Once we're out of our 50 ticket allotment, the price goes up, so act fast!

PHAN PHEST 4.0 is limited to just 700 tickets, and will surely be the
best Phan Phest yet!

We hope to see you there!! More bands to be announced as well as more
details on www.phanphest.com

Come play with us this summer!

Drew, JohnnyBud, and the Phanphest Crew
