I would surely love to, but due to contractual obligations, I cannot
release even a demo of it.
With my solo stuff, that's not a problem when they become available,
but BOD is now wrapped up in the arms of the record company, and
registration of works.

been regaling us with wonderful tales of recording sessions, trivia and

all was "Over Krakatoa".

We got a short clip of a teaser when you were in the studio in Germany
last year recording.  Since we don't have an eta for BOD yet, could I
please place a request for an audio demo, teaser or some kind of idea
from Book Of Days?  A full length demo track would definitely make the
top of my iPod play list (if so allowed).  :-)

horror when I got to work and checked my email I saw that my intended

thing I wanted to do was bring up this topic on the new group and the

If anyone is interested there is a snippet (purely raw demo without
vocals) of one of the tracks from my new solo album "perpetual motion"
over on the myspace site, it's called "the last trance"
Theres not much of it, but it's a taster.

For those still following the flame wars of the old forum, I have just
posted a response to the first cursing, flaming email sent to my
personal email.

Apparently for posting here, I am the worst kind of traitor.  A
supporter of Nektar.  Oh No, mr. Bill!  :-(

Count me in as one of the old-timers. Been following Nektar since '74
and Remember the Future. The first time I got to see them was the Magic
tour, and while I was disappointed that Roye wasn't there, Dave Nelson
and the rest of the band put on a tremendous performance. Of course I
was given the reprieve of reprieves when the band reunited at Nearfest
for a simply magical show. Talk about a bonding of Nektarines! I also
flew out for the Town Hall show after that and saw them in Chicago. In
my (limited) personal dealings with Roye I have nothing but positive
things to say. I always enjoyed our brief chats and correspondence.
Also, one of the nicest moments was at the Town Hall sound check in the
afternoon when Mo walked right up to me and said "I remember you!"- no
doubt from the several photos he was gracious enough to take with me at
Nearfest. Here's to the future!

have been mightily impressed by the standard of togetherness amongst
the real (old time) fans. I now realise that It can be attributed to
the quality of the Rug topped man in the middle and his fellow
bandsmen, I have only ever met Roye once, and never the others but it
is clear that quality of heart is the core driving force and therefore
is indestructible. Rock on Nektar!!

Thanks for the pointer here Sandy!  A breath of fresh air (Oxygen!)
from the bile infested Eclectic board is indeed sorely needed....

In regards to the fairer sex, that old Timex slogan perhaps might
read:  "Takes a ticking and keeps on licking...."  Yes, that would be
Brain Salad Surgery.   LOL!

I am here because I love the music of Nektar and I still wish to
support the band.  I also still hope to be able to see a live show
someday....

Since as of March 6, I am now 8 years tobacco free (and a few years
alcohol free too), tonight I will burn some of the real thing, chant
my old incantation of "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.  Brain to ashes,
Lungs to rust." and watch for the rising of the Phoenix of our
favorite band as I listen to Tab!
