Zip File: http://ropeswingcities.com/releases/numazu/numazu(rsc028).zip

Numazu make their debut on Rope Swing Cities with a collection of beautiful
and hypnotic music for your soul. The sixteen tracks run the gamut of sound
from minimal soundscapes and field recordings, to post-rock interludes and
dreamy jazz jams. Rope Swing Cities is honored to be releasing one of the
most versatile and compelling albums of experimental music that we've heard
in some time.

Numazu is comprised mainly of Kirill Nikolai and Derrick Hart, as the
masterminds of the experiment they have surrounded themselves with a wealth
of talented guest artists (Justin Robert, Haruki, Mariko Sugawara, Jay
Demko, Kate Morris & Joey Halter.), who help to round out the sound of the
band. Alternately contemplative and dissonant, the album holds the listeners
interest through each subsequent listen, as new sounds, voices and melodies
creep out of the musical ether, creating a forest of sound, ripe for
exploration.

Numazu represents an expert blending of laptop orchestrations and talented
analog musicians. By bridging this gap, Numazu finds its own place to stand
in the landscape of modern experimental composers, entering a space which is
scantily populated. We hope you love this album as much as we have, and that
it finds a special place in not only your music collection, but your heart.
Enjoy!

XSN019 - Datascraper "Remnant" March is definitely coming in like a
lion at Xynthetic Netlabel with our latest release from Datascraper
"Remnant." Five distorted post-Industrial electro-tinged tracks, at once
challenging and intimate. Datascraper is the new project from Spencer
Little, who many of you will know better as Portland / PDX from the
n5MD, en:peg, and Component labels. Datascraper explores the more
disonant side of the PDX sound and brings a heavier amount of noise to
bear on the tracks. Each track moves through multiple phases and takes
the listener through its individual story. As always, we're making the
release available to the members of our mailing list before pushing it
out to the general public. You can download the release directly from

hello,

Sergio Luque (Mexico City, 1976) is a composer of experimental
classical and electroacoustic music living in Madrid. His work often
involves surrealism, computer-aided stochastic composition and tends
to highlight the extreme "micro" and "macro" of musical sound.

He is currently working towards a PhD in Composition at the University
of Birmingham, is an active member of BEAST (Birmingham
Electroacoustic Sound Theatre) and is working on the development of
Iannis Xenakis stochastic synthesis.

His extensive curriculum includes a Master's Degree in Sonology (with
distinction), received in 2006 from the Royal Conservatory at The
Hague, studying with Paul Berg and Kees Tazelaar. In 2004, he also
received a Master's Degree in Composition from the Conservatory of
Rotterdam, studying with Klaas de Vries and René Uijlenhoet. He has a
Bachelor's Degree in Composition from the Musical Studies and Research
Center (CIEM, Mexico). His music has been performed all over the
world: Europe, North America, South America and Oceania.

Sergio Luque has published more than twenty musical pieces for
acoustical instruments, computers and combinations of both.

TecnoNucleo publishes three works from Luque, all of them for
computer: "'Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll' was never meant to be like
this", "frío" and "ssst".

Debut EP of the Canadian Dan Carew incl. some remixes of Fax, OCP,
Humeka and Glander.

Dan is a real minimalist, somewhere inbetween electronica classicism
and minimal house. Hardly to imagine that you could strip down a rhythm
more efficiently down to its very basic sound bits and bytes, while
being hopelessly in love with innocent melodies.

The cover of the release is part of the Nils Clauss ShowCase on Yuki Yaki.

Hans Platzgumer and Jens Döring are hp.stonji. So far
they've been known from their albums on Zurich's
Spezialmaterial and the Viennese label Konkord, as
well as from their countless other projects (solo or
with others, e.g. Cube & Sphere, hp.zinker, Queen of
Japan, e.stonji).
hp.stonji's music is an organic blueprint of the music
called electronica. But it might as well be fat and
dirty. Autark's prologue "Piano Expeditions" is a
journey into the atmospheric deeps of modern ambient
music as cold and warm it can be.

Hey.
I'm Pete, I make bleepshow (http://bleepshow.com/). I send an email
each week to this list telling you the latest shows are online for you
to download for free. If you don't want to download, and just like to
listen, there's a player thingy on the website so you can listen at
college/school/work/etc without the need for iTunes.

Bleepshow is made 5 times a week, and runs to about an hour per show.
The music is electronic, varying from IDM to experimental, house to
techno, glitch to Euro. All the music is good, in my opinion.
Listeners seem to think so, too, which is great :) All the music is
safe to listen to - the vast majority is netlabel material, with the
occasional listener-submitted or promo track thrown in for good measure.

My bandwidth bill for this month is likely to be about 600gb, and I'd
very much like for this to be even higher, so here's your chance to
help me out :)

There are 5 shows from this week for immediate download:

#121 - http://bleepshow.com/get/1/bleepshow121.mp3 (~85mb)
#122 - http://bleepshow.com/get/1/bleepshow122.mp3 (~85mb)
#123 - http://bleepshow.com/get/1/bleepshow123.mp3 (~85mb)
#124 - http://bleepshow.com/get/1/bleepshow124.mp3 (~85mb)
#125 - http://bleepshow.com/get/1/bleepshow125.mp3 (~85mb)

If you like to listen without downloading, and want to see the artists
in each show:

#121 - http://www.bleepshow.com/bleepshow/bleepshow-121
#122 - http://www.bleepshow.com/bleepshow/bleepshow-122

#124 - http://www.bleepshow.com/bleepshow/bleepshow-124
#125 - http://www.bleepshow.com/bleepshow/bleepshow-125

If you want to let iTunes or your podcast download take the strain and
get shows automatically (this is best done at work over the lunch
hour...):

itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/bleepshow <-- iTunes, get the latest 25
shows
http://feeds.feedburner.com/bleepshow <-- Any podcast downloader, get
the latest 25 shows

itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/bleepshow-archive <-- iTunes, get every
show ever made
http://feeds.feedburner.com/bleepshow-archive <-- Any podcast
downloader, get every show ever made

If you are a netlabel artist and think your stuff would fit well in
the show, get in touch - likewise if you represent a netlabel and want
to preview some upcoming/unreleased stuff, drop me a line. The address
for comments, feedback, submissions and anything else you care to send
me is bleepshow@....

Thanks for reading, listening, commenting and supporing the netlabel
scene - have a great weekend!

Off Land - Encounter Point OUT NOW!

Off Land is an ambient project by Tim Dwyer. With ambient textures,
little field recording snippets, spoken word phrases and classical
instruments, Off Land takes place in the space between minimal,
ambient and contemporary classical music.

With 8 pieces and 75 minutes duration, "Encounter Point" is a
monumental ambient work. All pieces are arranged very carefully and
with a great sense for intensity and tension. The single tracks seem
quite minimal and pure on the surface, but when you listen carefully,
you can hear layers of different sound sources. There are
outdoor-field recording parts, layered with soft keyboard patterns
that fade into a slight beat, combined with a shy guitar melody. Every
layer is like a unique story line through the complete work.

It's a great acoustic quality when you've a huge depth of multiple
sounds in the composition which don't crush you, but instead give you
the possibility to explore more and more with each listening.

Y is perfect fusion of ethnic instruments with electronics.
Y is some other sight, a sight under other corner. There is no
feeling,
that the author speaks from a stage with a hall.
More likely, it is a sight from within, it is a voice of the nature,
noise of the Karelian taiga, the sun of Africa, a pulsation of polar
light and, simultaneously, silence and infinity.

Michel Berghs aka EMBE leads netlabelism.net, one of the most
important netaudio resources from Belgium. One of my favourite
sections is the all time top 100 tracks, which includes all kind of
stuff. Michel accepted my invitation and blended 90 minutes of
netaudio pearls covered with some of his own daily field recordings.
It certainly is a personal job, which is one of op3n.net's goals.

Hi, everyone!

If you're familiar with the music of Kevin M. Krebs
composing under is 833-45 alias, then I think that
you'll agree that Tunguska might just be his most
compelling work to date under that guise.

Just the association of the names 833-45 and Tunguska
is suggestive of the sonic power inherent to this
album. On the one hand, we have 833-45 delivering his
own formidable take on electronic music and the noise
aesthetic, but along with that we have the powerful
image of the well documented 1908 Tunguska Event in
which a massive explosion (possibly caused by the air
burst of large meteoroid or comet fragment) flattened
over 2000
square kilometers of a remote region in Russia.

Undoubtfully we, electronic beings, are closely linked and directly
dependent to our sourrounding nature.

Monographic’s new guest, Stadtgruen, has focused on the fundamental
anthitesis of stadt (culture) and gruen (nature) and the dialogue
between them, through the investigation of new ways of expresing art
helped by new technical possibilities.
What is characteristic and defining of this netlabel is its
diferenced series: Stadt & Gruen, the first featuring “deepest
ambient, contemporary grooves” and “twisted techno, impressions from
Motor City” for the second. As a superficial aproximation can be
resumed in styles like minimal dub, minimal techno and clicks&cuts.

The mix is signed by Renniac, aka René Finken (Germany), curator of
Stadtgruen and contains an aproximate 50% Stadt and 50% Gruen. Along
with the task of mantaining the netlabel and his English, German and
Philosophy studies, has produced tracks for Stadtgruen, Aerotone and
Shitkatapult.

With no delays here is the episode wich i place all of you to enjoy.

Kahvi is back on the pure IDM track with release #240. A very welcome
return to Abyssal Plains with this piece of nine track perfection.
Echo's of Planet Boelex begin the release in 'nautilus', the amazingly
moving and haunting 'karimata straight' features a little later and
'the hidden people' is straight out of Boards of Canada. This is the
kind of release that perfectly fits the Kahvi vibe, sentiments of
electronica and this ep will certainly give you a buzz for weeks to
come. Note: this is the first release to include cover artwork
embedded in the mp3 files.

It's released Monday to Friday and runs to an hour or more. It is made

the music shine through and get the attention.
