The only 'howling' going on last night at Ingrid's "Back Home In
N.O." show at the Howling Wolf, was from us fans pleading for her NOT
to stop singing. Her set was a non-stop one hour concert, but it
felt like only 10 minutes to me. I, as many others, wanted her to
continue on since one mere hour of her performance doesn't adequately
cover enough time for her to sing all our favorite songs that Ingrid
sings.
Just to note, always the consummate entertainer, Ingrid was smiling
sweetly to all her fans and flashed those sultry eyes as she sang,
she's a complete package of siren-sexy-mom-songstress with that
smooth, classic, time-transcending voice. Ingrid looked effervescent
as always as she took to the stage decked-out in heels, black skirt
and 'Bavarian-German-style'-waist jacket--she sooned remembered the
difference in weather between New York and home, but then wherever
she goes, the energy level and temperature seems to soar upward.
We may have to share her with New York, but I always get the feeling
she loves her N'awlins fans even more. Like Ingrid's song goes, "I'd
Rather be in New Orleans"....we don't have to worry about her
leaving, yet.
