Hej there,

it seams to be years or even lifes ago that a great maillist discussing
contemporary nordic folk music was established and used by hundreds of
music fans worldwide. A list where information about new bands, projects,
albums, websites, concerts, labels, styles,.... was spread and discussion
about it went back and forth.
Then came the spam. Then came the second list, supposed to be spamfree and
then it went quiet.
Still no less than 338 members are subcribed to New Nordic Folk and 58 to
newnordicroots - are theese spammers only? Where have people gone or why
is it that quiet all around? Did people find another list or other means
of discussion?
Just saw a Blog at www.nordicfolk.com and also a forum (that seems to be
mostly in Swedish, but with active discussions).

I am missing the times when contacts were made (hi Jacopo), when some of
the musicians had there input (are you still there Richard?)

If you are out there and still wait for something to happen on either of
the lists - raise your hand and let's see, if we still get something going
here...
