Re: WIPO Case No. DTV2004-0007Re: www.hogshead.tv

This email is about the dispute over the ownership of the internet
domain name www.hogshead.tv, and, who, if anyone owns the English
language.

Since hogshead is a unit of measurement and is equivalent to 54
gallons of beer, or, sugar molasses (which is the raw ingredients for
rum...) who can claim to own the word hogshead let alone hogshead.tv?

The word hogshead is even referred to by Shakespeare (He that is
likest to a hogshead. Love's Labour's Lost, 4. 2) which in my opinion
gives Shakespeare more of a claim to ownership of the word than
Laurel Pub Co or me?

By the way who owns www.hogshead.com or www.hogshead.net? This is a
typical David v Goliath situation and is all about the freedom of
information and the `rights of man/woman' not to be bullied or
discriminated against by a large organisation.

Yours Sincerely
Pete
