THE NEXT 2 WEEKS @ SIN CITY
Thurs 7th Feb 7.30 Downstairs
xfm music responce tour -
ONE NIGHT ONLY + Viva Machine live
XFM's Music Response Tour is bringing the hottest new talent to venues
across South Wales at Bargain prices, already Nine Black Alps and
Scouting for Girls have visited Sin City as part of the tour and the
plan is for monthly dates throughout 2008. The ticket price of just £5
Reflects XFMs commitment to getting new music to as many people as
possible.
ONE NIGHT ONLY are one of the hottest bands around, when they played
Sin City last year in support of the Pigeon Detectives they won many
new fans and few who saw them then will have been surprised to see
their latest single `Just For Tonight' make it into the top 10. One of
the most striking things about One Night Only is the variety of sounds
they have, every single is different, from the Beatle-esque retro
sound of You And Me, to the modern, keyboard laden Nintendo. Put this
together with their undoubted live prowess and this could be a night
to remember!
Support comes from Swansea's Own VIVA MACHINE.

THE ANOMOLIES @ FACE/OFF, CLUB NME
Oldskool Hip-Hop Meets NuSkool Indie
The Anomalies have been making tunes and touring together for the best
part of 3 years, a group of musical minds who create their sound using
a plethora of influences from swing and big band to indie and old
school hip hop
Often pigeonholed as hip-hop The Anomolies are really far to diverse
to be labeled, is not unusual for the band to play a straight hip-hop
track, then pick up their guitars and give you a solid slice of indie.

THE GRAMMATICS @ FACE/OFF, CLUB NME
Melodramatic Popular Song
First of all let's say what the Grammatics are not, they are not
Art-Rock, They are Not Post Rock, and they are not Indie.
Alternative? Just.
Pop? In a way.
One thing is for sure, they write huge dramatic masterpieces that
require your fullest attention.
"Ambitious musical shape-shifters, Grammatics are a revelation." - NME
"Some of the most epic, intelligent pop music produced by a British
band in an awfully long time. Pretty f**king special." - Drowned In Sound
