Hi Folks
Rough past few weeks here. Raising children is never easy but in the
past few months I've learned more about my wonderful first born and
some problems he has that will need a lot of therapy work and time.
And then last Friday I had a really bad day at my "real" job (as
Ninthwave is a hobby really)- I was told I needed to start doing a
lot more stuff in order to keep my job. And I like what I do during
the day, so, I need to cut something back.
Ninthwave will not go away, exactly. In fact, after speaking to
bands on the label and friends I have made over the years "running"
the label, I think Ninthwave may limp along at an even lower profile
(is that possible?) for a little while. I am reminded of Celine
Dion's "retirement" a few years back and the comment some writer
made (not an original comment but still funny) "How can we miss you
if you won't go away?"
So- over the next few weeks I will be seeing how to get stuff
released that is ready. Alan Replica is just about ready to ship his
Cd off to the presing plant, that will probably be the last CD we
make for a while. Spray's album and possibly some other stuff will
go up online soon. Electricity III should pop up online in about 4-8
weeks. I will let you know about that. The Garland Cult labum will
come out one way or another, Aidan and I are talking to folks, let
you know soon.
Thanks to everyone for being so amazingly understanding about all of
this. One last pop culture quote I recall from "Madagascar" (yes, I
have little kids) when Alex the Lion is trying to talk his way out
of Grand Central Station
"It's ok, my friend here just went a little nuts, cooko."
