OK, I am new to this and have not worked out all the details, but it

It is both a way to raise money and to lend money (and earn
interest, just like a bank, except it is a lot riskier, so read up
first!)

The great thing is that I think you can start with as little at $50
to lend (maybe less even). Once you lend the $50 Prosper collects a
monthly payment from the borrower's bank account and pays you back
(minus a 1% fee I think).

Anyway, drop me a line if you're interested. If I can get a few
folks to sign up I will try to float a loan and see how it works.
The only caveat is that I am pretty sure you have to have a US bank
account.
