PREVIEW TRACKS AT WWW.NINTHWAVERECORDS.COM

LINER NOTES:

01 SAVED BY ZERO
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY THE FIXX

THIS TRACK WAS RECORDED FOR A TRIBUTE ALBUM TO THE US BAND THE FIXX
THAT SECTION 44 PRODUCED AND RELEASED. WE HAD A CHOICE OF TRACK FOR
THAT ALBUM WHICH IS BRILLIANT TO HAVE OF COURSE, AND SEÁN PICKED THIS
TRACK. IT WAS A REALLY GOOD CHOICE AND THE RESULTS AND PRODUCTION
WE DID ARE VERY GOOD. THE COVER WAS VOTED COVER OF THE YEAR ON SOME
SITE.

02 LOVE IS A STRANGER
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY STEWERT/LENNOX

WE LOVE THE EURYTHMICS AND ESPECIALLY THE '82-`84 PERIOD. WE WERE
APPROACHED BY A LABEL TO RECORD A COVER FOR AN 80'S ALBUM AND AGAIN
SEÁN PICKED THIS TRACK. THE SONG VOCALLY IS QUITE DIFFICULT AND
REQUIRES A BIG VOCAL RANGE AND STRENGTH ON THE HIGH END. THE 80'S
ALBUM NEVER MATERIALISED, SO WE SENT THIS COVER TO DAVE RICHARDS FOR
CONSIDERATION ON "ELECTRICTY III", THANKFULLY HE LOVED IT AND IT WAS
INCLUDED. I LIKE THE SHARP AND TIGHT PRODUCTION, AND THIS AND "SAVED
BY ZERO" SHOWED REAL PROGRESS IN TERMS OF PROFESSIONALISM.

03 PHOTOGRAPHS
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY BOYTRONIC

WE WERE ASKED TO RECORD A COVER OF A BOYTRONIC SONG FOR A TRIBUTE
ALBUM THAT A GERMAN LABEL WHERE PRODUCING. WE TRIED A FEW VERSIONS
OF "PHOTOGRAPHS" AND IN THE END THIS WAS THE BEST MIX WE DID. IN
TERMS OF THE SONGS WE HAD TO PICK FROM, THIS WAS THE BEST. BOYTRONIC
ARE SOMETHING OF AN ODDITY, AND THERE'S NO DOUBT HOMO-EROTIC TONES IN
THIS SONG. I THINK WE ADDED MORE TO THIS SONG IN TERMS OF NEW RIFFS
AND ARRANGEMENTS THEN WAS THERE IN THE ORIGINAL BOYTRONIC VERSION. WE
BASICALLY IMPROVED IT AS A SONG WE FEEL, MADE IT EXTRA VIBRANT.

04 APOLLO-MRK II (WARREN K REMIX)
PRODUCED BY WAAREN K
WRITTEN BY ESH

AS WE BEGAN WORK ON THE ESH ALBUM "CYCLES", SEÁN INTRODUCED US TO
IRISH DJ WARREN K AND SUGGESTED WE WORK ON A TRACK WITH HIM. BY
ACCIDENT WE SENT HIM THE SOLO VOCALS TO "APOLLO" THINKING WE HAD SENT
HIM ANOTHER SONG. SO WE WERE SURPRISED AND DELIGHTED WHEN HE CAME
BACK WITH THIS MIX. THERE A GREAT RICHNESS TO THE SYNTHS AND THE
VOCAL NASA SPACE SAMPLES REALLY WORK WELL TOO. I THINK IT'S A
BRILLIANT RE-WORKING OF ONE OF OUR CLASSIC EARLY ESH TRACKS.

05 TOGETHER IN ELECTRIC DREAMS
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY OAKEY/MORODER

COHAAGEN MUSIC ASKED US TO COVER THIS GIORGIO MORODER RELATED SONG
FOR THEIR "UTOPIA-A TRIBUTE TO GIORGIO MORODER" ALBUM THEY WERE
PRODUCING. WE WERE HAPPY TO OBLIGE BUT WERE CONCIOUS IT WAS SUCH A
CLASSIC TRACK, THAT WE PLAYED IT VERY SAFE AND DID A STRAIGHT COVER
VERSION. POSSIBLY IT WAS A MISTAKE NOT TO BE MORE ADVENTURIOUS WITH
THE SONG ITSELF, BUT I REMEMBER WE HAD ONLY A FEW WEEKS TO PRODUCE
IT, HENSE THIS SAFE AND EAR FRIENDLY MIX.

06 NIGHT OVER ME
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY WAVE IN HEAD (MICHAEL POHL)

OUR GOOD FRIEND MICHAEL POHL (WAVE IN HEAD) HAS LONG BEEN A FAVOURITE
OF OURS. WAVE IN HEAD WHERE PRODUCING A NEW SINGLE AND WE HAD
PREVIOUSLY WORKED ON REMIXES FOR EACHOTHER A NUMBER OF TIMES VERY
SUCCESSFULLY. ALL THE REMIXES WERE RECEIVED VERY WELL BY REVIEWERS
AND FANS. MICHAEL SENT US A SELECTION OF HIS NEW SONGS AT THE TIME,
AND "NIGHT OVER ME" REALLY STOOD OUT AS A TRACK WE COULD BRING
SOMETHING ESH-WISE TO. I THINK IT IS VERY CATCHY AND POPPY SYNTHPOP,
AND I KNOW MICHAEL WAS VERY HAPPY TO ADD HIS VOCALS TO IT. THIS IS
THE VERSION WE SENT HIM, WITH MY VOCALS.

07 DREAMS IN THE MIRROR (QUBIQ REMIX)
PRODUCED BY QUBIQ
WRITTEN BY ESH

OUR "URBANISM" HAD SOME GREAT TUNES ON IT. ONE OF THESE WAS "DREAMS
IN THE MIRROR", A VERY SPARKS INSPIRED SONG. WHEN SEÁN BARRON JOINED
ESH FOR THE RECORDING OF OUR "URBANISM" ALBUM, THIS WAS ONE OF THE
FIRST TRACKS WE COMPLETED. IT'S ONE OF THE QUICKEST BMP SONGS WE'VE
EVER RECORDED TOO. WHEN WE WERE EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS OF "ROCKET-A
TRIBUTE TO DEAD OR ALVE" FOR SECTION 44, WE HAD AN OPEN COMPETITION
FOR COVERS OF "BLACK LEATHER". ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE ENTRIES WAS FROM
A REMIXER/DJ CALLED QUBIQ. I LOVED HIS MIX OF TECHNO AND DANCE AND
HIS RHYTHMS. WE ASKED QUBIQ TO REMIX "DREAMS IN THE MIRROR"
AND "APOLLO", AND BOTH THANKFULLY FEATURE OF "RARITY?". IT WAS
BECAUSE OF US WORKING WITH QUBIQ, THAT HE CAME TO THE NOTICE OF DAVE
RICHARDS AND NINTHWAVE RECORDS. QUBIQ WENT ON REMIX MANY OTHER
NINTHWAVE ARTISTS BRILLIANTLY. BUT ESH WERE THE FIRST ONES. WHEN
MYSELF AND LAR WERE STARTING THE GARLAND CULT, WE ASKED QUBIQ TO
PRODUCE SOME TRACKS ON THE GARLAND CULT DEBUT ALBUM "PROTECT YOURSELF
FROM HOLLYWOOD". HE DID A GREAT JOB ON THAT TOO.

08 SPECIAL STAR
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY DEAD OR ALIVE

THIS IS A DEAD OR ALIVE SONG THAT WAS OUR ENTRY ON "ROCKET-A TRIBUTE
TO DEAD OR ALIVE". WE WANTED TO ADD A GRACE JONES VIBE INTO THE
PRODUCTION, AND IT WORKS AND DOESN'T WORK IN SAME MEASURE. SOME
REVIEWERS THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE FORGETTABLE AND MAYBE IT IS. I LIKE
THE TRACK MYSELF BUT I SUPPOSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IN SOME WAYS.

09 APOLLO DUB (QUBIQ REMIX)
PRODUCED BY QUBIQ
WRITTEN BY ESH

THIS IS THE SECOND REMIX QUBIQ DID FOR ESH. IT'S MORE OF A DUB
VERSION, AS IT DOESN'T INCLUDE THE FULL VOCAL. IT WORKS VERY WELL AND
SHOWS JUST HOW GOOD QUBIQ IS AS A REMIXER AND DJ. THE CATCHY SYNTH
LINES AND DYNAMIC PRODUCTION REALLY DO SHOW GREAT SKILL AND I THINK
QUBIQ CAN ONLY GO ON TO EVEN GREAT HEIGHTS IN THAT FIELD.

10 HAND ON THE GUN (GANYMEDE REMIX)
PRODUCED BY GANYMEDE
WRITTEN BY ESH

WHEN WE SIGNED TO NINTHWAVE RECORDS IN 2001 FOR A 2002 RELEASE OF OUR
DEBUT "POP ROBOT" ALBUM, DAVE RICHARDS HAD ALREADY HAD GREAT SUCCESS
IN THE SCENE WITH GANYMEDE. THEIR RETRO SOUND HAD GREAT APPEAL IN THE
SCENE WE WERE RELEASING INTO. DAVE SUGGESTED WE COLLABORATION AND WE
THOUGHT WHY NOT. GANYMEDE PICKED "HAND ON THE GUN" AS A TRACK THEY'D
LIKE TO REMIX AND I RECORDED BRAND NEW VOCALS TO IT BACK IN DUBLIN.
IT ENDED UP FEATURING ON THE LIMITED EDITION VERSION OF "POP ROBOT"
ON THE BONUS 3" CD.

11 WOUNDED (ANDROMEDA RISING FEAT EMPIRE STATE HUMAN)
PRODUCED BY ANDROMEDA RISING (DAVE PECHE)
WRITTEN BY ESH/D. PECHE

WE DEVELOPED SOME GREAT NEW FRIENDS VIA THE FORUMS OF `THE RIGHT
STUFF' (DEAD OR ALIVE'S OFFICAL WEBSITE) WHEN WORKING ON THE DOA
TRIBUTE. ONE OF THESE FRIENDS WAS DAVE PECHE, WHO WAS THEN RECORDING
UNDER THE NAME ANDROMEDA RISING. DAVE HAD WON THE OPEN COMPETITION
WITH HIS STUNNING ELECTRO VERSION OF "BLACK LEATHER" AND HIS VOCAL
POWER HAD RAWNESS HAD SOME SIMILARITY TO PETE BURNS. WE TALKED ABOUT
WORKING TOGETHER AND WE HAD A DEMO OF A SONG CALLED "WOUNDED" THAT
WAS NEVER RELEASED BY US. DAVE RE-WROTE SOME NEW LYRICS AND ALSO NEW
PARTS, SO IT BECAME A CO-WRITE. HE ALSO PRODUCED THIS VERSION AND
SUNG IT TOO, SO IT BECAME US REALLY IN A GUEST WAY ONLY. WE'RE PROUD
TO HAVE WORKED WITH ANDROMEDA RISING.

12 WILD BUTTERFLIES
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH
ALL KEYBOARDS STEVE RAY

PART OF BEING IN A BAND LIKE ESH IS TRYING TO DEVELOP OUR SONGWRITING
SKILLS. EVEN IF WE'RE NOT WORKING ON A NEW ALBUM, WE ALWAYS TRY TO
KEEP WRITING AND RECORDING TOO. WHILST BETWEEN ALBUMS, WE WERE
LISTENING TO ALOT OF ACOUSTIC MUSIC AND IN DOING SO, WE BEGAN TO
WRITE ACOUSTICALLY. THIS WAS WRITTEN ON GUITAR AND AS IT WAS SUMMER
TIME WE WENT FOR A VERY SUMMER SOUND. WE DID TWO OTHER SONGS DURING
THE RECORDING SESSIONS ("REMEMBER ME THIS WAY" AND "SUMMER'S HERE").
WE HIRED A REALLY COOL KEYBOARD PLAYER CALLED STEVE RAY TO PLAY ALL
THE KEYBOARD PARTS, SO IT'S QUITE STYLISH AND SOPHISTICATED
MUSICALLY. NEVER REALLY A RUNER FOR ONE OF OUR STUDIO ALBUMS BUT IT
IS PERFECT MATERIAL FOR THIS ALBUM.

13 THAT SPECIAL TIME
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH

THIS TRACK ALONG WITH "THE APRIL RAIN", "MOON'S BLUE" AND "UNDER YOUR
SPELL" WERE PART OF THE ONE RECORDING SESSION IN 2000. ALL WERE
RECORDED AND MIXED IN ABOUT FIVE HOURS FLAT – NOT BAD FOR ONE
RECORDING SESSION AND IT GOES TO SHOW HOW DIY AND PRODUCTIVE ESH WERE
IN THE EARLY DAYS. "UNDER YOUR SPELL" MADE IT ON TO "POP ROBOT" BUT
THE OTHER THREE ARE PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS. ALL THESE TRACKS
HAD MANY ORGANIC ELEMENTS AND WHILST WE NEVER HAD AN OPPORTUNITY
UNTIL NOW, TO FEATURE ALL ON AN ESH ALBUM BEFORE, THESE TWO SOUND
QUITE WELL ON RE-LISTEN.

14 THE APRIL RAIN
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH

THE VOCALS WERE WRITTEN ACAPELLA AND THE MUSIC AND CHORDS WRITTEN
AFTER. WE ALWAYS LIKE TO ALTER THE WAY WE WRITE NEW SONGS AND DO
EXPERIMENT AND TRY NEW WAYS TO COME UP WITH NEW SONGS. SOMETIMES WE
WORK FROM A WRITTEN LYRIC, MUSIC OR VOCAL MELODY. JUST TRYING TO SEE
WHERE WE CAN BEGIN A NEW SONG FROM. WE SAW THIS SONG AS A FILM THEME
SONG FROM A MOVIE FROM THE 1960'S. IT'S ATMOSPHERIC AND MOODY BUT
STILL VERY MUCH AN ESH POP TRACK.

15 CHRISTMAS ANGEL
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH

CHRISTMAS 2001 (BEFORE WE RELEASED "POP ROBOT" IN FEBRUARY 2002) WE
DECIDED TO TRY AND WRITE A CHRISTMAS SONG. SOME FEEL THAT'S A TACKY
THING TO DO BUT AS WE SEE OURSELVES AS SONG WRITERS AMD THAT'S IT'S
IMPORTANT TO TRY EVERYTHING IN THIS FIELD. WE WROTE TWO CHRISTMAS
SONGS THAT YEAR (THE OTHER ONE "YOU WON'T BE COMING HOME?" WAVE IN
HEAD RECORDED FOR US). WE POSTED "CHRISTMAS ANGEL" ON OUR WEBSITE AS
A WAY OF INTRODUCING US TO THE SCENE. SET UP ON FREE DOWNLOAD. NOT
ONLY WAS THE SONG A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE IN SONGWRITING FOR US, BUT
IT ALSO WAS ONE OF THE MOST DOWNLOADED SONGS WE EVER SET UP. FANS
STILL REQUEST US TO PUT IT BACK UP. IT'S NEVER BEEN ON ANY ESH ALBUM
UNTIL NOW, SO THIS IS A FIRST. IT DID FEATURE ON A CHARITY FUND
RAISING ALBUM FOR A HOSPICE IN THE USA, WHICH WE WERE THRILLED ABOUT.

16 REMEMBER ME THIS WAY
PRODUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH
ALL KEYBOARD PARTS STEVE RAY

STEVE RAY PLAYED PIANO, ACCORDIAN AND HARMONICA ON THIS TRACK. IT'S A
LIVE STUDIO VOCAL, STRAIGHT ONTO D.A.T. (DIGITAL AUDIO TAPE). A SORT
OF ROUGH AND READY RECORDING WITH LITTLE STUDIO PRODUCTION EFFECTS
AND NO VOCAL DOUBLE TRACKING. IT WAS WRITTEN AS A VERY SAD SONG
THAT'S ABOUT A RELATIONSHIP BREAK UP. JAZZ AND BLUES ELEMENTS, NEARLY
A SONG FROM A MUSICAL YOU COULD SAY, IT ALSO REMINDS ME OF STEVIE
WONDER IN THE INTRO. IT COULD WELL YET BE RECORDED BY A BIG NAME IN
THE FUTURE. YOU NEVER KNOW.

17 HUNTED (ESH DEMO)
PRDUCED BY ESH
WRITTEN BY ESH

WHEN WE COMPLETED OUR "URBANISM" ALBUM FOR NINTHWAVE RECORDS IN 2003
AND SENT IT TO DAVE RICHARDS FOR MASTERING, WE WERE ON A HIGH AND
STARTED IMMEDIATELY WRITING ANOTHER NEW ALBUM CALLED "FUTURA". IT WAS
TO BE A POP-STASTIC FUTURISTIC THEMED ALBUM CONTAINING SHORT 3 MINUTE
SONGS AND PLENTY OF HOOKS AND SMOOTH VOCALS. WE RECORDED DEMO'S TO
ABOUT 5 OF THE TRACKS WRITTEN FOR THIS ALBUM, WITH THIS ONE SOUNDING
REALLY WELL ON COMPLETION OF THE DEMO'S. UNFORTUNATEY, "URBANISM"
DIDN'T GET RELEASED ON CD BY NINTHWAVE AND WE WENT ON TO WRITE
ANOTHER NEW ALBUM INSTEAD (CALLED "CYCLES") FOR ANOTHER LABEL (KISS
MY ASTERIX/SECTION 44). THE "FUTURA" SONGS NEVER GOT RECORDED AND TO
THIS DAY THEY REMAIN SONGS FROM OUR LOST ALBUM, WHICH OF COURSE IS A
VERY ROCK `N ROLL CONCEPT ISN'T IT?

"The Modern LP" the band's debut album and is a great example of the
band's indie-electro-pop fusion, with a nod to influences as diverse
as Blondie, Duran Duran, The Cure and Kraftwerk. 1940's styled blonde-
bombshell and ever-omnipresent front woman Emma Cooke compliments the
rippling synths with her rich, dramatic vocals, which build to the
catchy climactic chorus. Matinee Club conjure images of faded glamour
and the city's seedy underbelly.

You might recall Matinee club better as The Modern, their nome de
plum when they were a five piece band. This new album collects
several singles from The Modern period and adds in new material from
the current trio.

Matinee Club is made up of three London based musicians; stunning
blonde front woman and leading lady Emma Cooke (vocals), Nathan
Cooper (keyboards and vocals) and Chi Tudor-Hart (keyboards and
vocals). Having risen from the ashes of several bands and having 3
top 40 singles in the UK already, with Matinee Club Emma, Chi and
Nathan finally finding the optimum line up and sound. With a love of
burlesque glamour and theatrics, the band create electro pop
accompanied by pitch perfect pop vocals, Matinee Club are ready to
take the world by storm.

Don't just take our word for it, here's what the UK press has had to
say about the band:

"New Wild Boys. London synth-pop freaks with bat-cave hair… anthems
such as… Durannest moment `Discotheque Francais'" Rolling Stone
Magazine

"Buzzing, fizzing electro." The Sun newspaper

"Bored of James Blunt. Well, fear not, for we at last an antidote.
Think Roxy Music meets Dollar, on a poppers-fuelled dancefloor."
Attitude Magazine

"On a mission to inject some much needed glamour back into the
charts." Boyz Magazine

"Fashion band who actually have the sound as well as the all
important look." New Music Express

"Maverick futurists." Simon Price, The Independent on Sunday

"A blast of fresh air at a time when most pop is made by lobotomised
Topshop assistants… spectacularly theatrical gigs… piss on the chips
of anyone still claiming electronic music can't have a personality…
it's sexy and synthetic." Peter Robinson, New Music Express

"Glossy slice of day-glo new romantic pop… gloriously melodramtic."
M8 Magazine

"Spectacular live shows… primed to grace block parties everywhere."
Digital Magazine

"London's rising camp electro outfit… corset-clad singer… shine with
theatrical beauty… flamboyant… kitsch in the extreme and could be the
cross-over style we need to shove James Blunt off his polite perch."
The Star Newspaper

"These glam popsters are tipped to be the next big thing." Ellie
Guttridge,

"Combining the musical and visual elements of Japan, Visage, Roxy
Music, Propaganda… set to burn up a dance floor near you." Taylor
Glasby, Disorder Magazine

Astromill was released a couple of years ago on Ninthwave Records.
always a fave of mine, great female vocals and programming/ song
writing. Very cool PS boys inspired tracks (and a sound a little like

I am loving amazon's MP3 service. First up they have the "Pushing the
Future" collection for just $2.99. I have no copies of this Cd left, so
it's a bargain I guess. Lots of fun stuff on there, although most people
liked it for the Heaven 17 dub. Get Pushing the Future Vol. 2" on amazon

set I cobbled together last Spring - "Smash Hits." It has totally new
stuff from Spray (a new I Am Gothic Mix) and a new Spray mix of Heaven
17's "Hands up to Heaven" (a new single edit). Plus new remixes from
Space March, Though Criminals and the US release of DJ Daz's "Woah
Song." fun stuff. Get Smash Hits on Amazon

Hi folks
Some news:
A new qubiq Remix album is up online now featuring remixes for Heaven
17, Empire State Human, Melody & Mezzo and Garland Cult. Most of
these are making their online debut.
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?
isGifting=true&playlistId=264671966

Check it out at itunes, eMusic and other similar outfits

amazon has MP3 downloads (NOT DRM, but MP3!) and they are oftne much
cheaper than itunes.(AlthoughI did just notice that Heaven
17's "IGMYFILWM" is $2 more on mp3 than CD!)
Check out ninthwave stuff on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_dmusic/102-6122204-8953730?
initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Ddigital-music&field-
keywords=ninthwave

Look for the release of Empire State Human's "Popularity" online at
the end of October, it will feature a pdf "booklet" free when yo ubuy
the album. Nifty little extra.

The Garland Cult will pop up "Talking With Aliens" single with mixes
from Anni Hogan and Steve Bronski (yes, that Steve Bronski) soon as
well. Stay tuned...

Remember that girl (or guy ) you broke up with and then one day you
meet them again and realize that you should have never been so quick
to break it off so yo utell each other you should try again? So yo
uget all Modern and join some sort of Matinee Club and see how it
goes?

And in the almost but no quite catagory- our close personal friend
Kevin Smith cut out Heaven 17's "Don't Fear the Reaper" from the
debut of The Reaper (on the CW). Good show but kinda pssied I had to
sit through the whole thing to findout they cut the song...

What is it with you people and Macondo? Three years and nothing, then
suddenly whammo, orders pour in...

www.ninthwaverecords.com has the whole Space March album "Without
This you Can Never Change" up on a stream for you to hear right now!

Here's a review

Elektrauma

With regards to the title of this album you can say the following:
once you have listened to this album you feel changed. If you are one
of those people who thinks synthpop is dead, after having listened to
this album all you can say is: synthpop has been revived
successfully. It is a simple recipe the band is using. It is well
made synthpop which does not waste time trying to sound like old
heroes, like Depeche Mode, Camouflage or others. This CD is looking
for it's own audience and sounds automatically fresh and new! The
songs vary between pop melodies which, in combination with guitars,
sound 'earthy' and sound a bit Indie ("Out of Touch, "About To
Explode", "Stronger Than Steel"). The CD also allows for extremely
electronic moments ("Nothing Else", "Time Will Make A Fool Out Of
Me"). With this Australian project, the music and the song as such,
are always the center of attention. Space March does not try to sound
fake, but very honest. Space March creates a great atmosphere using
the right tools. The very high pitch voice (reminds me of bands like
Elegant Machinery) lends the compositions lots of atmospheric
moments. It should be easy for Space March to make its mark in this
country! (insider's tip!)

Some Reviews-
`Picture this: A Scandinavian Summer, with a house full of friends,
add cocktails and on the music deck the songs 'Like a Riverboat'
and 'Pity Party' from 'Protect Yourself From Hollywood'. Credit
where credit is due my friend." - International DJ Paul Masterson (Hi-
Gate, Yomanda & Pete Burns collaborator)

"I genuinely think that The Garland Cult's debut album 'Protect
Yourself From Hollywood' is a work of genius - I haven't stopped
listening to it, since I bought it via iTunes (UK) yesterday." -
iTunes Review

"If partying until dawn isn't really your scene at the very least
this CD would create a pleasant soundtrack for relaxing with a tasty
martini or putting on your makeup (regardless of gender). " -
Beatrice Wilgucka (Connection Bizarre)

"The music itself provides a well-balanced mixture out of Pop art,
Synthpop and Electronica, while some retro-like influences can't be
discussed away -with the quality of the well tuned timbre of Aidan
Casserly, who offers his vocals a register higher than a linear-A23-
octave - with that sweet timbre it is required to sing at its best!
That's real talent! Catchy as hell with a -singing-along-the-refrain-
attitude and some synth bass lines which work successfully against
the melodic content-- a real smasher!" - Marc Tater (Chaindlk.com)

These guys are so new wave, in a very synthpoppy, campy way. It's a
side project of Empire State Human, with much the same sound, even
more bubbly and quirly, which is fun-- Stephen T. Durrant

Magazine Cd samplers, plus a couple of early ADD/Ninthwave sampler
("How to Make a New Friend" and the megamix). "Now Music for Pop
People" vols. 1-5. I have 4 complete sets, lots of great stuff on
here, if you know then you know. Paypal me $30 and I'll send you the 5
plus the 2 other samplers. If you need just a random one email me and
I may be able to help.

Each CD has about 15 tracks, most tracks are from then current
releases, but some, like stuff from Jarret, is long out of print. Nice
snapshots of a golden sysnthpop era:-)

Hi Folks
I'll be moving back east this summer, and don;t want to have to trek
boxes of cDs across if I don't have too. So here's the deal- Any
Ninthwave CD is just $2 each (plus postage, based on wieght and what
type of postage you want)- but, and a big but, you have to buy 10 of
each title at a time.

huh?

Well, clearly this is not a "complete your ninthwave collection" sale
(www.adifferentdrum.com has most of our stuff for $3 -except for new
titles-) Think of it more as a "spread the love" sale. Sure for $20
you get 10 cds, but whatyagonnado with 10 cds?

Well, try to sell them, or give them away, spread the word about
your favorite band. Whatever you want to do with them would be fine.
Now, some titles I just don't thave enough (Spray's Living in Neon
and I Am Gothic, plus the 2 Electricity Cds) but most I should have
enough if you want to order some - this includes the two Heaven 17
singles, the Heaven 17 and the new Cds from Sonic Hub and Garland
Cult).

So drop me a line at info@... and let me stock your
own personal record store!

Hi folks

OK, ADD has the new Garland Cult 2 CD set in stock-
http://www.adifferentdrum.com/artist.php?n=NW10049-2

Now's your chance to pick it up from Todd.

Also- Craig from Space MArch has done a brillinat website overhaul
for Ninthwave (it'll blow your socks off, trust me). I need to add
some content over the next week, but it should go up before the end
of June for sure.

Also in the works for online releases:

3 Garland Cult Remix Eps
a Qubiq Remix full lenght (new ESH Remixes, plus Heaven 17, Melody
and Mezzo and Garland Cult mixes)

Plus a few more suprises.

The bad news- I am moving and so will kinda be out of pocket during
July through September until I get my shut backtogether. No new Cds
until Chrsitmas I'm afriad, but no worries, there will be more!

The Garland Cult- Protect Yourself From Hollywood - Out May 22,
2007 -Debut album from The Garland Cult, which is a new electro band
made up of Aidan Casserly and Lar Kiernan from Empire State Human.
This will be in a special 2 CD set. You get the full album plus a Cd
with 6 remixes from Qubiq of The Garland Cult songs, including songs
like "Self Control" and "All good Things." These remixes are not on
any of the online stores by btw.

Here's a review of the album (up now on iTunes)-
I genuinely think that The Garland Cult's debut album `Protect
Yourself From Hollywood' is work of genius - I haven't stopped
listening to it, since I bought it via iTunes (UK) yesterday.

`All Good Things' is brilliant, and I love the harmonisations of the
synths in the chorus. `Impossible' has some of the best lyrics I've
ever heard. `Style' is a great song with great attitude. `Self
Control' is really nice updated cover. `Pity Party' is all fifth and
fun - love it. `Gender Device' is pretty cool and sinister, and
dancey at the same time, and `Monomania' is a fantastic dance track,
and its lyric `design the crime' is such a great phrase, I want a
Garland Cult T-shirt with that written on it!!
