The Process Church of the Final Judgment was the apocalyptic shadow
side of the flower-powered ’60s and perhaps the most notorious cult of
modern times.
Scores of black-cloaked devotees swept the streets of New York, San
Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New Orleans
and other cities selling magazines with titles like Sex, Fear, Love
and Death.
The Process’ no-holds-barred theology brought on accusations of
sinister conspiracies.
Personalities like Marianne Faithfull, George Clinton and Mick Jagger
participated in Process publications, and Funkadelic reproduced
Process material in two of their albums.
Love Sex Fear Death — written by original Process Church member
Timothy Wyllie — is the first book to provide the astonishing inside
story of this fascinating group and the mysterious woman at its
center. Included are contributions from six other former members and
Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.
With never-before-seen photographs and reproductions from rare Process
publications.
ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT STORE OR VIA PAYPAL PAYMENT TO

THE AUTHOR - TIMOTHY WYLLIE was born in England at the height of the
Second World War, attended British public schools and trained as an
architect. He attended architecture school with Process Church
co-founder Robert De Grimston, and later committed himself to joining
the apocalyptic cult-commune.
Leaving the community in 1977, he devoted himself himself to the study
of non-human intelligences.
This study led to his first book, now widely regarded as a classic in
the field, Dolphins, Extraterrestrials & Angels, published in 1984 and
still in print. Ask Your Angels, the book he co-authored with Alma
Daniel and Andrew Ramer, has become an international bestseller and is
currently translated into 11 languages.
Timothy lives in a house he designed and built in the High Desert of New Mexico.
THE PUBLISHER AND EDITOR - ADAM PARFREY is a farmer, screenwriter,
author, editor, and publisher of Feral House and co-publisher of
Process Media. Author of It's a Man's World, Cult Rapture, and editor
of Apocalypse Culture and Extreme Islam. Subject of a feature
documentary currently in production, Feral Man in a Feral Land
directed by Hans Fjellestad and Ryan Page (Moog).
THE SABBATH ASSEMBLY BAND
IMAAD WASIF - Singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Imaad Wasif’s first self-titled solo acoustic record was released in
2006 on Kill Rock Stars. Wasif toured with Yeah Yeah Yeahs in 2006 as
second guitarist and performed his solo work as the support act for
most shows.
JEX THOTH - Singer of the band Jex Thoth, (I Hate Records) and Wooden
Wand / James Toth (Rykodisc, Ecstatic peace, etc). In 2008, he
released Strange Hexes, recorded with a backing band, Two Part Beast.
A new album, The Voidist, will be released in October 2009 on Tee Pee
Records. He has also played in the New Folk Implosion, Alaska!,
lowercase and on Lou Barlow's albums for Merge Records. Wasif worked
in collaboration with Karen O on the forthcoming soundtrack to the
film Where The Wild Things Are.
DAVE NUSS - Drummer in two worlds. No-Neck Blues Band member 15 years,
Sound at One records proprietor. Shamanic percussion instrument
designer and builder. Metal enthusiast: member of seminal 80s thrash
band Angkor Wat (Metal Blade), later Angelblood (members of Gang Gang
dance and artist Rita Ackermann), currently Under Satan's Sun.
Boredoms drumming events leader 07, 08, 09. Curator and organizer of
Yahowha 13/Source Family first-ever East Coast appearance and first
record in 33 years; curator of Source Family’s Magnificence in the
Memory (Drag City, 2009).
LAURA LEONTINE - Bassist and singer. With trio The Assault since 2002,
she's toured the country, evolving from garage to pysch to what they
term 'folk-metal'. Her last performance was sans bass, as Stevie Nicks
at the 19th annual 'Night of A Thousand Stevies.' Laura collaborates
on dance tracks and film scores with Michael Cohen under the name
White Heat.

Pendu Presents: NY EYE & EAR FEST II July 9-12, 2009 4 DAYS - 3 VENUES - 2 BOROUGHS Knitting Factory & 92Y Tribeca in Manhattan & Death By Audio in Brooklyn
Pendu presents: NY Eye & Ear Fest II ... a massive 4-day new music and arts fete showcasing some of the most exciting bands, artists, and filmmakers currently living and working here in NYC. In addition, NYE&E assembles a Record Fair featuring NYC-based Record Labels and Vendors selling LPs, CDs, 7''s, cassettes, lathes, comics, zines, stickers, and art prints. The title of the fest is inspired from the 1964 NY Eye & Ear Control soundtrack by Albert Ayler as well as the all-too-familiar signs seen daily in the subway tunnels by riders of the L-train of the infamous NY Eye & Ear Infirmary. If you don't know all of the names in the lineup, don't be alarmed; NYE&E exists to facilitate the introduction of new artists placing them side-by-side with the more well-known like an eclectic living mixtape of sound and vision. This is a festival for discovery - discover new bands + discover new art + buy new records + meet new people... The festival prices are low to make them affordable in these difficult financial times, so please show your support and buy your tickets now...!
*********
July 9 and 10, NYE&E will take over all 3 floors of the Knitting Factory in Manhattan. Each night the top 2 floors will host 14 Music Performances with DJs playing music between sets. The basement will be transformed into a Video Art Installation and a 7-hour Continuous Drone Room. RADIO 23 will broadcast NYE&EII (July 9+10) live from Knitting Factory's Main Space on http://RADIO23.ORG :: room 111.
July 11, NYE&E will take over 92Y Tribeca Cultural and Community Center with a FREE Record Fair involving 30+ NYC DIY record labels and vendors . In addition to the Record Fair and Music Performances there will also be Film Screenings in the beautiful 72-seat 92Y Theatre with the debut of a new Pendu-curated film series entitled Women of NYCinema featuring Sarah Lipstate, Liz Wendelbo, and Rachel Blackwell.

"Peter Sotos walks perpetually in the shadow of corrosive public acrimony.
And—much like DeSade, Burroughs and Nabokov before him—he will one day be
recognized as the moral compass of his age—OUR age, this age of unspeakable
debasement.
Sotos, of course, would not be Sotos if he did not claim some other more
insidious intent.
But history works unspeakable magic on the art of every epoch. It is now almost
universally regarded that DeSade was AT LEAST the SPIRITUAL impetus of the
French Revolution and all revolutions that followed.
So Come. Come Saturday.
Come for freedom. For liberty. For future generations.
Your humble host, David Williams"
For those who cannot make it to the signing, TESCO USA is now accepting orders
for signed copies of both books at the regular cover price plus shipping. If you
order before Saturday night, we can even have them personalized, if it tickles
your proverbial fancy!

This weekend we'll be taking things up a notch by participating in the first
ever NY EYE & EAR Record Fair & Music Fest at Vanishing Point in Brooklyn (L
train to Montrose). All the details including label particpants and
up-to-date band lineups can be found at:
and there is also a nice write up in this week's Village Voice:
http://www.villagevoice.com/2008-12-10/music/dirty-blonde-introducing-the-ny
-eye-ear-festival
The event is bound to have a little something for everyone and then some,
but we are particularly excited about some of the bands who will be
performing on Saturday like CULT OF YOUTH, LED ER EST, and headliners XENO &
OAKLANDER. After the bands Pieter Schoolwerth of Wierd Records and I will be
hitting the turntables until the wee hours. I am planning a decidedly more
upbeat set to include favorites from Der Blutharsch, Derniere Volonte, Of
the Wand and the Moon, Spiritual Front, Sol Invictus, PTV, Deutsch Nepal,
Novy Svet, Naevus and much more - hope to see you there! -je

Just so everyone knows, the Cult Of Youth set will be a very *special* solo
acoustic set. There will be quite a few new songs debuted at the show.
Thanks Jane for posting this!

Thanks to everyone who came out to MONKEYTOWN last Saturday, and especially
our hosts Scott Mou and Richard Phillips!
The venue was amazing - a full menu, courteous staff, two totally separate
soundproofed spaces, the back with 4 floor-to-ceiling video screens and,
well, beds all around to sit on - it all made for a very nice experience. I
had a really great time spinning and had way more I wanted to play, so
hopefully we'll be doing it again soon.
And now for the almost entirely DP-free setlist, haha...

BOYD RICE
STANDING IN TWO CIRCLES: THE COLLECTED
WORKS OF BOYD RICE
(edited by Brian M. Clark)
Who is Boyd Rice? (actual quotes)
"Boyd Rice is a black pimp."
–Charles Manson
"Boyd was my mentor."
–Marilyn Manson
"Boyd is an iconoclast!"
–Anton LaVey, Church
of Satan
"Boyd Rice has
crossed over into the realm of being a pop icon, not unlike Andy Warhol, Tiny
Tim, or Charles Manson. His face is like a corporate logo synonymous with a
specific type of worldview. When you see Boyd it's as though you're gazing upon
the Golden Arches or the Swastika. Or both."
–Shaun Partridge, The PartridgeFamilyTemple
STANDING IN TWO CIRCLES is the
first definitive and comprehensive compendium of the works of BOYD RICE, one of
the most provocative and controversial underground figures of the post-punk
era. A pioneering noise musician and countercultural maven, from the late 1970s
to the present Rice has worked in an array of capacities, playing the roles of:
musician, performer, artist, photographer, essayist, interviewer, editor,
occult researcher, filmmaker, actor, orator, deejay, gallery curator and tiki
bar designer, among others. First coming to prominence as an avant-garde audio
experimentalist (recording under the moniker NON), Rice was a seminal founder
of the first wave of industrial music in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, through
collaborations with Re/Search Publications, Rice further established his
position in the underground with recountings of his uproarious pranks and the
promotion of “incredibly strange” cult films and “industrial” culture. Rice’s
influence on subculture was further exerted through his vanguard exhibition of
found photographs and readymade thrift store art, as well as his adamant
endorsements of outsider music, tiki culture and bygone pop culture in general.
Rice is also notorious for his public associations with nefarious figures both
infamous and obscure, including friendships and ideological collusions with the
likes of cult leader Charles Manson and Church Of Satan
founder Anton LaVey, among others. His work continues to profoundly affect the
countercultural underground at large, inspiring and enraging in equal measure.
STANDING IN TWO CIRCLES
includes over 30 provocative essays on subjects ranging from Mondo Films to
Charles Manson, Savitri Devi to the Hellfire Club, Cocktail Culture to African
Atrocities, and from Abraxas to Rape. Of the 33 essays contained herein, 11
appear here for the first time ever. Of the remaining 22 previously published
texts contained in this volume, most are revised, updated and expanded from
their original versions.
ALSO INCLUDES THE COMPLETE LYRICS and ART & PHOTOGRAPHY (38
original plates)!
HEY… are you too far to visit, or “going
to a wedding” or something lame like that? Send GERM $27 (a bit extra to cover
postage) via Paypal (at germbookstore@... ) and we’ll MAIL you an autographed copy. If you wish, we’ll
even ask Mr. Rice to personalize it for you.

FINALLY… please note that availability
vs. demand has convinced us to consolidate and/or move certain sections around
the store. For instance, if you’re looking for the city’s best selection of
used T. Lobsang Rampa paperbacks, please ask the cashier to direct you to their
new home (pssst… for some reason, it’s next to Robert Anton Wilson). All of
this mobilization is to better serve your needs!
