Subject: Request for help: Cuban music specialist
Body:
I teach in the Modern Language department at Slippery Rock University
in Western Pennsylvania. Several faculty members are preparing a
proposal for a Title VI Grant to order to increase the international
focus in our classes.
The first phase of this proposal will be dedicated to Latin America
and I have been asked to draft a section on Cuban music. As part of
our proposal, we would hope be able to invite a specialist on Cuban
music to give a faculty development seminar to interested faculty. We
would be looking for someone holding an academic position who could
lead a seminar on Cuban music, its history and its socio-cultural
cultural. Could anyone suggest someone?
Regards
Tom Daddesio
