I, along with Geneva, will be flying into Portlnd on July 26 am. We will rent a
car, travel to Clatskanie and start meeeting everyone who will be hanging out at
the regular camping area.
The park Gates will be opened around 10 am Wednesday to allow the land rush to
start.
I was not released by the doctors like I wanted to be: I wanted 5 weeks free
from chemo treatment, so we could travel around in our RV.
They are giving me one week off, with Chemo administered July 22 and then on
Aug 5.
Just enought time to slide up to the NW and have a great time.
I am really hoping for a a smoooooth event; with Sharon, Jim and Gene helping,
I am confident the days and hours will slide by in euphoric happiness.
I am looking forward to seeing Ken C again: he has been reconstructing my 1939
Epiphone upright who lost it's back several years ago. it was always a NW bass,
but fell apart when exposed to the 8% humidity of this area down here.
I don't play bass; my son played this one.
I plan on keeping it forever for some reason.
A reminder: there ARE free showers at the pool area...open all night. Always
has been.
Great fishing in the Columbia channel for those prehistoric long snout fish
that has eluded me so much in the past I can't recall the name at this moment.
We will be giving a long time bluegrass ICON a presentation of recognition
Saturday onstage.
Hint: it will make a nice aside in the newsletter.
Don't forget to bring your cornbread ingredients...the past 3 years the winners
of first place all had their cornbread in cast iron skillets.
See you there.....bill & geneva bogan
