sorry, i accidentally sent out last week's calendar yesterday
(thanks to all 37 of you who pointed that out). long story ... i'm
hating yahoo groups right now ... hopefully i'll switch out of it
soon. you may get two (or more!) slightly different copies of this
(sorry) ... again ... yahoo groups is buggy sometimes. nothing
has gone through all day so i keep sending ...

i'm moving into a new apartment in less than two weeks and i'm
too busy and exhausted to write up the whole list this week. but i
don't want to leave you totally hangin' ... here are a few parties i

Eddie and Edgar are the guys who inspired/motivated me to start
DJing 8 years ago (i was a 16 year old punk playing records on
college radio in Pittsburgh). Eddie is now living in Brooklyn and
has a couple residencies in NYC. He's got a deeeeep collection
of hip hop, funk, and raw Jamaican rhythms. Edgar is still in
Pittsburgh doing cool shit like bringing the Sun Ra Arkestra and
DJ Olive and other notables to play shows at the Andy Warhol
Museum. He has a very deep collection as well ... tonight he'll be
playing mean electro jazz breaks (you'll have to show up to find
out what that means). The first 5 people to come up to me and
tell me a cool story about Pittsburgh get a free drink. Possibly
more drinks if you have a really cool story involving WRCT.

night progresses hip-hop/funk to house/techno to d'n'b.
Very short walk from Openair ... it'll be easy to stop by Drinkland
before or after. kleverVice adn Shakey are microwaving records
to create "LP Bowls". they are both bad ass dj's and they are
starting what is sure to be a bad ass punk band.
