SATURDAY JUNE 29
************************************************
theAgriculture & Chunk & Chengwin present:
SHOTGUN WEDDING: An official reception for the marriage of
Chunk and Chove!
Shotgun Wedding will be held at the Lunatarium on Saturday
June 29, 10pm - late. 21+. $10 to enter. 10 Jay Street, in
DUMBO, Brooklyn.
There will be ridiculous amounts of fun stuff to do, including: an
inflatable immaculate conception chicken (you can get inside!),
live video mixing from SQUARESQUARE and Majestic 12, an
exploding wedding cake, beautiful pregnant brides, a third world
carnival tire ride from The Madagascar Institute, shoot the beer
can on the fence game, hammocks in the backyard chill room,
pin the feather on the cross-bred donkey, kiddy-pool
fishing, cow tipping, a group of bears who lost the forest, and
much much more stupifying absurdity built by rogue artstars that
want you to have a good time. It will be even better if you join the
scenery. Wear a costume! American Gothic? Daisy Duke? The
Ugly Duckling? The Fisher Price Peoples Farmer? J.R. Ewing?
Of course there will also be great music: International artists
from NYC's record label theAgriculture (www.theAgriculture.com)
will command two boomin' soundsystems (dance and chillout)
with twisted dancehall, deep dub, rugged drum'n'bass, moody
hip-hop, psychedelic soundscapes, and minimal techno.
The lineup:
- qpe (theAgriculture) LIVE - celebrating the release of his new
album on theAgriculure, "Boolean Logic"
- DJ Olive (theAgriculture, WE, phonomena, SYR) LIVE
- dj /rupture (tigerbeat6, Soot, theAgriculture, Barcelona)

For those of you who think Chunk is a candy bar and are
wondering why people are so excited about his wedding, read
on ...
Long ago there was a creature born from love - from the love of a
chicken and a penguin. His name was Chengwin and he shined
brightly of all that was good and pure in the world. As is the
course of history, there had to be an evil half brother. This half
brother born from the lust of a chicken and a skunk became
Chunk. Chunk has a posse. Chengwin has dancers. Chunk
drinks Remy Martin. Chengwin drinks orange juice. Chengwin
and Chunk. Chunk and Chengwin. They are worthy of our love
and devotion. And you get to pick sides!
Read more history and see videos of past performances at
www.chengwin.com.
But now, now it is 2002, and word on the street is this is the year
Chunk may temper his bad boy attitude with the power of
deep-gazing, ga-ga-gooey, love. See, Chunk has met Chove, half
chicken, half dove and all beauty. Uh oh. In a glorious ceremony,
sometime in the afternoon, somewhere in the city on Saturday,
June 29, there will be vows (and drama and intrigue!). Come
celebrate later that night at their Shotgun Wedding party at the
Lunatarium.
The Lunatarium, a spectacular 10th floor warehouse space with
amazing views of the river, Manhattan, and three bridges, is
located at 10 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. There will be two
bars with cheap beer, moonshine, and other refreshments.
Please visit www.lunatarium.com for directions and info.
