hey, this is a piece of news that i think is very worthy of
it's own post. Our beloved Tonic is on the verge of
shutting down. I do not believe there is any other venue
in NYC where we can take the kind of chances we take every
week at the Bunker (this is also true of phOnOmena, and
many of the upstairs events). I believe this venue is
crucial to the health of the underground music community in
NYC, and I urge you to check out www.tonicnyc.com for more
deatails and make
a donation (they just set up an easy to use paypal donation
system). Better yet, come out to the Bunker or Alldisco
this week and have a few drinks so you can have some fun
while you help save tonic ... bring some friends, spread
the word, every little bit helps now. I'm also helping
Tonic setting up some benefit concerts. If you have any
famous friends who would be willing to play a benefit show,
please get in touch.
