We are returning to our subTonic home this week with a
huge Trapez/Traum showcase. Thanks to everyone who stuck
with
us in February and came to the sold out Thomas Fehlmann and
Sammy Dee shows. These shows are really helping Tonic get
back on it's feet (although it's not quite there yet).
We are honored to welcome Riley Reinhold aka Triple R
from Koln, Germany. Riley has been a pillar of the Koln
electronic music scene for a long time as a DJ, writer,
promoter, producer, and label head. He has been DJing for
20+ years, holding down residencies and guest spots at
virtually every club in Germany. Most people would be
proud to run one successful record label, Riley has FIVE
(Traum, Trapez, Trapez Limited, MBF, MBF Limited)! Aside
from his many productions, Riley has released three mix
CDs on Trapez and one on Kompakt.

Joining Riley are label mates Marcos Cabral and
Smartypants, both of whom have graced the Bunker decks in
the past. Smartypants is going to start things off with a
live set of new material. He has consistently proven that
he has a great ear by getting dancefloors moving with his
DJ sets, so we're sure the live set will be off the hook.
Marcos plays fierce minimal techno and can throw down some
really mean schaffel tunes.

Roaring out of Brooklyn NYC, the Hungry March Band has been
wrought to bring music to the people, be it in the streets,
the railcars, the alley ways, the boats, the bars, clubs,
boardwalks or boulevards. They are a parade, a party, a
blazing entity of flesh, blood, brass, steel & wood. With a
new recording being released next month, this 20-piece
brass band has been playing together since 1997. As the
gypsies of this metropololis, the band is an ever evolving
community project inspired by the multicultural music and
diversity of our city - Music for the people. HMB has
graciously agreed to donate all door proceed from
tonight's show to Tonic!

Optimo really are some of the best DJs in the world. they
are serious record nerds (who collect EVERYTHING) and know
how to keep a dance floor moving (rarely have these two
talents been combined so well). btw, contact toddp at
toddpnyc dot com and get on his mailing list. he's doing
amazing underground rock/noise/etc in this space almost
every night ... too much stuff to list here every week, but
all very worth knowing about.
