Unlockedgroove is Boston's hottest new techno imprint. The
collective of DJs and producers throw down a minimal techno
weekly at River Gods in their native Cambridge, and have hosted a
slew of national and international artists touring the East
Coast.
http://unlockedgroove.com/
You know Smartypants and Localfields individually, but together
they are a classy, sleek live techno act known as Pantyfields.
They just had a superb MP3 release on Philly's UnfoundSound, and
have an upcoming 12"s on Zero G Sounds and Unlockedgroove. Look
out for these guys as the are rising stars in the East Coast
minimal scene.
http://localfields.com/
Half of sizzling dancefloor duo Scorchio, Heemin is truly one of
the tighest DJs we've heard, anywhere. Seamless mixing with
ass-shaking selection.
http://www.zer0gsounds.com/
Jamie Rollins is a founding member of Unlockedgroove, having spun
all the early Antidote raves and Cellar gigs. He's the
quintessential scholar of Unlockedgroove - get down and feel the
appliance of science.
Japanther is one of our favorite New York bands. Maybe one of our
favorite bands in general. They play a super high energy peculiar
dimension of rock, spinning threads between pop and noise.
Elements of Faust, Joy Division, and The Fall run amok, but not
in any sort of 'derivative' sense. Rather Japanther spins a whole
new world with some solid listening history. Ever evolving,
always spectacular. They are also excellent humans. Once they
said this: "We built a house from cardboard and bubblegum and
have just been tryin to keep the roof from caving in." Japanther
was bummed that they were too busy to do a Tonic benefit back in
January, so a large chunk of tonight's door money will be donated
to Tonic.

The Yakima Nation are friends of Ian from Japanther, who says
they can throw down a mean rock set, and we believe him!

massive collection of prog rock. Thankfully, there will be no
Yes, ELP, Flower Kings, Dream Theater or other undesirably

Presidenti, Amon Duul 2, Blackwater Park, Dies Irae and more!"
