techno, house, electro, eclectic ecstatic party sounds
Thanks to everyone who came out to the completely off the hook Matthew
Dear party last Friday. We apologize for the police interruption of our
fun. For the time being, we are moving the Bunker upstairs with a
slightly later start time (11pm). There is a really nice brand new
sound system upstairs and more room for dancing, so this should make a
nice temporary home.
We are sad to announce that do to personal problems, Rob Hall has
cancelled his US tour at the last minute, and will not be joining us
tonight. We hope to bring him back very soon. Our resident DJ Derek
Plaslaiko will be handling the final extended set of the night instead,
which Bunker regulars know is never a bad thing.
Jerry Abstract and Pat Morita join us tonight courtesy of utter.produkt,
a brand new label run by our NYC friend Greg Paulus. Tonight serves as a
label launch party of sorts, and we wish these guys good luck in the new
endeavor.

Heavily influenced by the legendary warehouse party scene in Detroit. A
lifelong vinyl addict, Jerry has been known to throw everything from
classic idm and ambient to blistering breakcore and drumnbass into his
eclectic sets. Jerry moved to Seattle in 1999 and quickly became very
involved in the dance music scene there, further honing his skills as a
producer and DJ. Jerry spent the summer of 2004 in Berlin, played at
Tresor, and released some tracks on Shitkatapult. Jerry is now Creative
Director of the yearly Decibel festival in Seattle, which has been
picking up alot of steam each year. Jerry is incredibly psyched to be
opening for Rob Hall and has been putting together a special live set to
be debuted tonight.

DJ Pat Morita will be one of the first artists on utter.produkt label
and will be kicking the night of with a set of new and classic idm
tracks.
Kendra is known for playing deep minimal tunes that fall into the
catagory of either robot love songs or underwear dance party anthems.
She is also known for raising hell at our parties, dancing on the bar,
humping speakers, doing pushups and handstands, making out, buying
rounds of shots, and otherwise getting the party started properly (see
the Bunker photo galleries for evidence of all of the above). She is a
great DJ who is constantly schooling us on hot new tracks. She's been a
friend and a supporter for a long time, and we're thrilled to get her
back behind the decks at the Bunker for the first time since her
birthday last year (where we broke the damn record for bar sales thanks
in no small part to Kendra and her rowdy posse).
