hello..... i have some very exciting news for our european fans (and
also for americans who are in need of a vacation)...

black tape for a blue girl has been confirmed to play the treffen.

for those of you who haven't heard of the treffen, it's a massive
gothic festival held every year in the city of leipzig, germany. they
have eight different venues, with bands from noon through midnight.
over 250 bands play during the four day event and over 15,000 people
attend. it's wild! i have never been, but shea - who works with us at
projekt - has gone many times and says that it's incredible.

we don't know which day we are performing yet, though the festival
runs june 6-9th. so start looking into your tickets. other
"confirmed" etherealish bands are stoa, chandeen, faith and the muse
and love is colder than death.

as the name implies, it's for americans who are going to the
festival. it's a good source of information and also let's you
communicate with other americans, so you know you won't be alone;

list. i have to get your packages together; i will get on it after
the first of the year. not only that, but i was contacted by a nice
guy at amazon (m.h.) who helped remove the original offending review.

i was looking at our tshirt shelf a few days ago and noticed these...
perhaps you missed this item because it was printed for the festival
(in may) rather than for the release of the album (in january). well,
we still have copies of the x-large shirt left, if you are
interested...

lisa just listened to all the black tape albums (in a row!) to give
advice on track selection for "the best of" i am compiling for
trisol. i go into the studio this week to put the songs in order and
add some eq. we are working on "memory, uncaring friend" (off "the
rope") with bret singing the lead vocals. if that works out, it will
be the opening track on the first disc (it's gonna be a limited 2-cd
set in a digi-pak). i'm also putting together a sort of homage to
"the rope," as the cover. more details on this release as it comes
together.
