In regard to the part about the public's opinion in your last
posting: I still fail to see the connection between some of the
examples you most recently gave and the celebrities being boycotted.
One of the examples you presented seemed to be concerning
discrimination based on race. The issue with the celebrities is
because of their ideas. There is a big difference between disliking
someone because of their ideas, and disliking someone because of
their race. One is born black; one decides a political party with
whom to affiliate. Another is born white, he decides what religion
he thinks is true. There is a politically correct thought that is
sweeping the world and destroying man's ability to reason. A former
friend of mine actually thought that it was wrong to judge the
terrorists who murdered thousands in the world trade center because
the terrorists thought they were doing the right thing. That offends
me! It offends me as a man, like all men who were created with the
ability to reason, to think.
If the general public wants to practice their right to free
speech by boycotting a few celebrities who voiced their opinion, I
say fine. Besides, I'm sure all their fans that agree with them will
still support them anyway.
