I need help in determining if I have a real piece of the Grand Ole
Opry curtain that was contained in an RCA Victor limited edition 4-
album set released in 1967. I was in a store on Saturday and bought
it for $2.50. And it is like new….I don't think the albums have ever
been played. The box is perfect.
Here are the details.
I ran into a like new boxed set RCA Victor LPM-6015 that contains the
4 albums and a booklet of about 18 pages with short bios and a
pictures of 40 Opry stars. The front of the box has a notice that
inside "is an actual segment of the famous old curtain from the Grand
Ole Opry stage". The box set also has a full color picture of the
stage with the "new gold curtain'
Inside attached in a plastic clear bag that had never been opened was
a 2'x3' piece of red fabric that is heavy and resembles what I would
consider stage curtain material.
Does anyone know it this is real? Or do you have any other
information on this record set?
Was this a promotion that really had a piece of the Opry curtain?
I sure so thank you for any help you can give me.
