Subject: [Old Time Music] Looking for missing lyrics for this tune
Date: Tue, Jun 8, 2004, 6:16 PM

Hi, I'm new here.
I have this gramophone record and like to know when it
was recorded. It has various years printed on it.
I'd also like to know all the lyrics of the tune as part of
the record is badly scrached.
It's a one sided record (blank one side).
Thanks for any help.

"When the Right Little Girl Comes Along"
Sung by George Alexander with orchestra
Baritone solo
Columbia Phonograph Company General
Printed on lable, no. 3414-1, m-818-1.
Grand prize Paris 1900, St. Louis 1904
Patented Dec 10 1901. On Record: patented Nov 25 1902

There's a way and there's a will
There's a Jack for every Jill
There's a girl somewhere in this wide wide world if you look
deep and strong
Her eyes may not be blue
or her hair of golden hue
But still you'll love her and love her true when the right
little girl comes along

Refrain:
You won't care if her eyes are brown or blue
You won't care if she's rich or poor as long as she is true
You won't care if she's not like some story or song
For you will be perfectly satisfied
when the right little girl comes along

[unintelligible]
...so there comes a time in your life and mine
when we will hear love sung
A song whose words are sweet
that your heart cries out repeat
and soon your kneeling at someones feet
when the right little girl comes along

Refrain:
