Hi all!
Forwarding to you what was played at the Christmas midnight mass at Holy Fam... Download here at http://www.olps-ensemble.org/audio/Dec25_MidnightChristmasMass2007.zip
Me and Richard (Leow) agreed that we would like to play with Holy Fam's GenesisII (G2) Choir next year too... if they have any programmes and a likely one is Easter. So keep that booked. You guys might wanna come and we can play with them as the OLPS Ensemble formally!
And of course, we would also try to create more events in our own parish of OLPS - especially continue the Taize songs, AND get new songs for our own right? So remember, our next practice on 5th Jan, Saturday, 2 - 4pm, and our HOMEWORK ---> Each to get a new song -- with parts for guitar/violin-vocal-flute/cello/piano... if possible. You can either go borrow scores from Esplanade (I got membership) -- or buy online -- or ask around other churches if they have scores for instrumental parts? Everyone split the work as I definitely have no time to get everything! So Ganbatte everyone!!
Looking for OBOE player:
Does anyone know an OBOE player who'd like to join us? Or maybe... AMANDA... would you like to join us back again??? haha!

Anyways, thanks to a great year with you all. The ensemble has been going on in OLPS quietly, and we've become quite comfortable with each other. I think now for 2008 it's time to continue improving our standard to be better such that when we play in public we will be proud of ourselves and not afraid to play. Secondly, it would be to get better arrangements for our songs... so that we have our own parts each.
I extend the welcome to Agustin and Elaine to join us one day. Elaine, if you'd like, you can join us in January to learn the songs. We can always have 2 pianists right? then each of you can take turns (less time commitment for you!!!) Hazel, let me know if you can commit ok? ;) You've been a joy to have around!
Happy POST-CHRISTMAS celebrations & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Cheers,
Sam
