Dear all,

 

OLPS Orchestra is going to be renamed to OLPS Music Ensemble.

 

A Music Ensemble will mean that we can have any amount of players and a mixed array of instruments - instead of an orchestra which is way too big for us isn't it? If you have more fancy ideas, please let me know. 

 

So now we're back to scratch and let's start anew again. We have now some strings, flute & guitar (2 each in fact!), and including Heidi on the organ... !

For those who've joined some time back, if you'll be able to join us again, you are welcome.

 

 

We will be playing for Quarterly Taize sessions at OLPS (Next is DEC) and for those who are available, to play in mass. So the focus now is taize and coordinating our parts for Taize. Mass is ad-hoc and optional for now.. though we can arrange for a particular week each month. 

 

It's going to be casual and comfy - what's impt is we enjoy the music and we serve God with it - We'll prac only 2 times a month for now so we won't tire out and also so we can deepen our identity & purpose as we go by. 

No other serious plans as yet, so I hope everyone can help pray for this new setup as a "music ensemble" and please pray for us - for more musicians & a new direction ahead in 2007!
