In the spirit of the usual Fall "back to school"
type sales, Omnibus is having a "We're Sorry We
Broke Up" sale of sorts. All releases by bands no
longer in existence are going to be for sale at
drastically reduced prices until October 1st or
until they are sold out completely. We were excited
to find a stray box of VERY limited older releases
that we thought to be long out of print, so we're
putting those back up there as well. Some of our
favorite Omnibus obscurities are going on sale, as
well as some of our favorite Omnibus hits. Here's
what's available:
Flake Music "When You Land Here, Its Time To Return" CD/LP
- Multiple people have written me saying that this is one
of their favorite records of all times. This Albuquerque
foursome have written and recorded some of the best
fuzz-pop-heartbreakers ever. All four members are now
in The Shins, and have records on Omnibus and SubPop.

Shove "Soundtrack For Disaster" CD/LP - Jumpy, hyper,
feedback laden distorto pop smothered in sweet female vocals.
Featured on compilations along side Thurston & Steve from
Sonic Youth, Team Dresch, Dahlia Seed, Portastatic, Grandaddy,
Beulah, Robert Pollard, Cobra Verde, New Radiant Storm King,
Lotion, Local H, Swearing At Motorists... enough said. Recorded
by James Murphy and Nicolas Verhnes (Versus, Les Savy Fav,
Cat Power, Speedking, Spent) at the Rare Book Room in NYC.

Omnibus Test Drive compilation 7" - Our first 7" ever!
Maxiwagon's best. Skyscraper & Shove's first "real" release.
10 Franc's one and only appearance, cool acoustic pop song
re-mixed with bass, drums, and a Lou Reed sample. Worth it
for the 10 Franc and Maxiwagon songs alone.

The Big Biter compilation 7" - A split release with Monkey
Bite Records from S.F. Maxiwagon, Baby Carrot, The Doormats &
Peppercorn. http://www.omnibusrecords.com/omni0075.html $2
Skyscraper / Grady Sisters split 7" - #2 in the Omnibus
Speedway series. Both bands called it quits soon after
this was released. The Grady Sisters are reminiscent of a
quicker/edgier Ropers (everyone thought the singer sounded
like a happy Morrissey), and Skyscraper takes a poppier romp
into Jawbreaker's territory. Little known fact: Josh from
Skyscraper and Brian from The Grady Sisters are cousins.

See More Glass / Bus split cassette - Very limited quantity!
The See More Glass side is a must hear. Short, catchy pop
songs by this one man outfit. Think along the lines of a more
lo-fi Aden with gruff vocals. A must for fans of that early
Simple Machines sound. http://www.omnibusrecords.com/omni012.html $2
Maxiwagon "Calls In Sick" limited edition CD - Very limited
quantity! An early amalgamation of indierock/pop and wildly
out of tune punk. Special packaging designed by Dave Wagon
himself. Here's a little secret- the first Maxiwagon hit ever
recorded "Maxi-crush" (written about friends/compatriots
Tiger Trap) is hidden 20 minutes after the last song on the
CD ends. http://www.omnibusrecords.com/omni014.html $5
Mioi at Space Lab now has never-before heard MP3 tracks
from Mates Of State, Trace, Electro Group, The Shins, and
Tennis up on her website. These 5 tracks are separate from
her usual streaming MP3 radio section, and are songs that
will be featured on the upcoming Omnibus Sampler No. 1. Check
them out at http://www.spacelab.org/mp3.html
