The new Electro Group album "A New Pacifica" omni027
is here! Beautifully melodic indie-dream-pop meets
wall-of-noise sonic dissonance head on. Indie pop
woven into a blanket of distortion. Reminiscent of
"Loveless" and "You Made Me Realise" era My Bloody
Valentine, this trio takes the late 80's shoegazer
sound a step into the future with driving, off-timed
drumming (think more recent Unwound), and an affinity
for electronic loops, moog and samples mixed into the
layers. Falsetto vocals and intermitent guitar jangle
tips a hat towards the solo albums of Syd Barrett. The
charming, Northern California noise pop kings. The CD
is available for mailorder off of our site now. The LP
will be here in a few weeks, but you can pre-order now
to be the first to receive it when its in. Its official
release date is January 9th 2001, so you should be able
to find it in stores after then.
