Greetings!

I recently received an e-mail from an organ builder stationed in Iraq.
He wrote in response to a news item in a previous newsletter, and told
me of himself and fellow soldiers who love organ music and miss it
while protecting our country. I did but a tiny thing at his
request--put him in touch with Sabin Levi, who is performing his
lecture-recital on the organ music of Israel and Palestine tomorrow. I
hope he returns home safely to do what he loves--"Build and Tune Pipe
Organs to Make the World a Better Place" .

* Pipe organ to make long-anticipated debut at Davison church
"Davison United Methodist bought the organ for $5,000, and in 2002,
Davison members disassembled and hauled it to their church, where the
task of rebuilding began."

A nice article which mentions Wurlitzer in passing, but is a
fascinating look into the world of the music for moving images.

* Music director at St. Mary revoicing church's pipe organ
"A line of students filed out of St. Mary Church Wednesday morning. A
closer look showed that each was carrying one or more slender metal
cylinders of various lengths. Under the direction of the parish's new
music director, Michael Lizotte, the youngsters were dismantling the
church's pipe organ for an overdue cleaning."
