It's been a great ride, and I knew it wasn't going to last forever. Due to
circumstances beyond their control, Pacific Internet Design
(http://www.pidesign.com/) will no longer own the dixiechicks.com domain.
Effective as early as tomorrow (March 11, 1999), attempts to access
http://www.dixiechicks.com/ will result in a "Host Not Found" error in your
browser.
But though they say all good things must come to an end, the All-Inclusive
Dixie Chicks Page has only just gotten started! It will simply return to
its original home on my ISP's server:
http://www.dallas.net/~totoro/dixiechicks/
Note that the multimedia files are hosted by Tripod:
http://members.tripod.com/rbrooks/
I'd like to thank Phil Casella and Pacific Internet Design for letting me
use their server space to host my site. It's been a great two months, from
1/13 through 3/10, and I've logged a staggering 67,000+ hits in that short
time.
As Texas songwriter Robert Earl Keen, Jr. says, "The road goes on forever,
and the party never ends!" Look for more great content coming soon --
wherever the All-Inclusive Dixie Chicks Page ends up!
By the way, please direct future email correspondence to
robertb@... as the dixiechicks.com email will likely disappear
when the domain name goes away.
