eBay, the sometimes overheated king of the online auction houses, recently
featured a copy of the very rare 45rpm single "Home On The Radar Range".
Cut in 1991, it was a limited vinyl pressing featuring two great holiday
songs -- one an upbeat Christmas song by Robin, and the other a thoughtful
New Years track by Laura.

The last copy sold for a whopping $66.00! The seller decided that the
demand was so good, he's putting up another copy. But this time, he's not
alone... and on eBay, that seems to bode well for the bidders.

Do a search for "Dixie Chicks Radar" and you'll find two entries: one with
a day to go and currently at $25, and another with 5 days left at a much
more reasonable $6 and change.

I'm going to make my first eBay bid on this one... but I don't think I'll
get it. You see, there was a bid at $65 for that first copy... and the
person whose $65 bid got topped is the high bidder for both remaining
copies. I think I know who it is, and I'm afraid that they're probably
willing to go that high again -- twice.

But it's worth a try, and worth a look for "Old Chicks" fans.
