** An exclusive offer from the All-Inclusive Dixie Chicks Page! **
This announcement list is usually devoted to updates about the
dixie-chicks.com site, with occasional notes about Dixie Chicks history in
the news. But a friend from another list has something y'all might be
interested in: a copy of the *way* out-of-print Dixie Chicks debut CD,
"Thank Heavens For Dale Evans"!
She is considering putting the album on eBay, but she would like to see
this very special piece of Dixie Chicks history go to someone who will
value it from more than just a money perspective. So y'all get first crack
at it! But it's not going to be cheap... copies of this rare disc have
shot up to the $150+ range, and that's *before* the Dixie Chicks go on
their 70-city headline tour.
Here is the writeup she is planning to use on eBay:

Dixie Chick 1991 CD release "Thank Heavens for Dale Evans"
This is their first CD and other early Dixie Chicks CD's like "Little Ol'
Cowgirl" and "Shouldn't A Told You That" are still available - but "Thank
Heavens For Dale Evans" is a rare find!!
Featuring:

Laura Lynch: acoustic bass, lead and harmony vocals
Martie Erwin: fiddle, viola, harmony vocals

With special guest Dave Peters on mandolin
Notice that this album is all acoustic...
CD was produced and arranged by the Dixie Chicks.
Recorded in Dallas in 1990.
It is complete with original (and in good condition) liner notes that have
pics of the girls in the early days and all the lyrics to the songs!

If you're interested, please send your bid to MusicofTx@... by
Wednesday night (4/10/2000) at 7pm Central time. Please note that because
of the prices being paid on eBay, she can not accept bids for less than $140.
By the way, I don't get any cut, myself. I'm just helping out a friend...
and hopefully helping a lucky Dixie Chicks fan get the crowning piece for
their collection. If you have any questions, please direct them to
MusicofTx@.... Good luck!
