** An "Old Chicks" News Flash from The All-Inclusive Dixie Chicks Page! **

For reasons still unknown, the first and largest Dixie Chicks fan
discussion forum, the dixiechicks@egroups.com email list, has gone
down. There is no trace of the list in eGroups' system, although the name
is still reserved.

I spoke with Rob Davis, co-moderator of the list, and he confirmed that the
list was *not* shut down by him or the list's founder, Nici Larson. In
fact, both Rob and Nici have sent urgent messages to eGroups asking them to
restore the long-standing list.

Founded in April 1998, the list was established to discuss a new group that
had a top-ten single but very little publicity. It has grown to nearly 500
members and has earned a reputation as the best source (online or
otherwise) for the latest Dixie Chicks information.
