** Dixie Chicks, many others in unprecedented TV event **

As I'm sure you've heard, the Dixie Chicks are among the artists
contributing to tonight's outpouring of support for the victims and heroes
of the tragic events of 9/11/2001. "America: A Tribute to Heroes", set to
air on all four major networks, probably all the minor networks, most local
stations, and plenty of cable networks (including CMT) at 8pm Central time
(9pm Eastern and Pacific -- Mountain time viewers, flip a coin!).

The promo I saw for the special last night on ABC featured none other than
Natalie Maines, singing "Amazing Grace" -- it sounded like the version she
sang for the NBC/PAX show "Mysterious Ways". It should be even more
beautiful and touching with all three Chicks in harmony, whether they bring
their instruments or sing a capella. Adrian Pasdar, Natalie's husband and
the star of "Mysterious Ways", may or may not make an appearance (according
to a fan site quoted on the Dixie Chicks discussion list).
