The talk of the Dixie Chicks mailing lists -- both the main discussion list
and the ChickBoots list -- is a just-found disc called "When I Was A
Dinosaur". Details are sketchy, but the rumor mill says that this was
recorded in 1995, very shortly before original lead singer Laura Lynch was
replaced by firebrand Natalie Maines.

ChickBoots owner Jamie Wasserman ordered a copy, and got a link that allows
you to get 10% off the disc's price:

But there's not a lot of time... as of 10am Central Time, Amazon reports
that they only have four copies left in stock! They claim that there are
"more on the way"... but didn't we hear that same thing about "Thank
Heavens for Dale Evans", "Little Ol' Cowgirl", and "Shouldn't A Told You That"?

There are no first-hand reports on the content of this disc, but I've
ordered it too -- and I'll let this list know as soon as it arrives. If
you order, remember, there are *no guarantees* that it includes the
pre-Natalie Dixie Chicks... but myself, I'm going to get it now, before it
shows up on eBay for $200 or more.
