I just got the latest issue of Mmmph. They are going to stop doing
music reviews but before they do they were nice enough to
review "The Reverend & the Beagle". Here's what they had to say:
"This double album just came out January 2005. It contains 24 lo-fi
songs making the whole CD almost an hour long. The neatest thing
about this album is that everything is only done by 2 guys, Zachary
and Kenneth. The songs have some clear folk and jazz influences all
together combining to form some nice music. I think it's good for
driving or zine writing because it's calming. This band is on Girl
in A Box Records so don't get confused with the other Owen
previously American Football. Notable Tracks: #11, #17, #19, & #5
because they are cool, the instruments sound great, and they just
have all the components that make great music."
Mmmph has a website now if you want to check them out:
http://mmmph.tk/
Notice they mention #11 as a notable track. That is the
song "Popular Philosophy" written by none other than my Dad-
Terrence Carroll. Be sure to congratulate him on a job well done!
Way to be!
