SEATTLE "ARTIST OF THE YEAR" (2001) & CURRENT L.A. "VOCAL GROUP OF THE
YEAR" M-PACT RETURNS FOR SPECIAL HOLIDAY CONCERTS

Originating in the Pacific NW and now hailed as "One of the best
pop-jazz vocal groups in the world" by the SF Chronicle and NBC's The
Today Show, pop-jazz a cappella sensation, m-pact, returns from Korea,
Singapore, and Indonesia to give two special holiday concerts on
December 6 & 7 at the Triple Door, Seattle.

Founded by UW music grads in 1996, m-pact was crowned Artist of the
Year at the 2001 SAMIE Awards – the PNW's annual contemporary pop
music competition, and has received countless honors, including
Billboard's "Best Unsigned Band", Grand Champions of the National
Harmony Sweepstakes, and most recently, "Vocal Group of the Year"
(2005 LA Music Awards) . Each of m-pact's five original CD's have also
received rave reviews and awards, including a much coveted Indie
nomination (the "Independent Grammy").

Touring fine arts halls and jazz festivals across four continents,
m-pact has opened for or played with pop superstars such as Sheryl
Crow, Boyz II Men, Kenny Loggins, and Bobby McFerrin, as well as with
jazz legends from Ray Charles and Natalie Cole to Kenny G and the
Woody Herman Orchestra.
