The urban a cappella band THREE 5 AND 6, www.three5and6.com is
actively seeking a bass to replace an outgoing member and is looking
to add a 6th member -- another tenor. The band is located in
Sacramento, CA and is currently making a push for full-time status
within the year.

This all male group imitates the full depth of instrumental sounds
found in a classic R&B or funk band as opposed to the
traditional "blended, one-voice" A Cappella sound. Their powerful
beats and bass drive a truly dynamic musical experience that fully
engages the listener.

THREE 5 AND 6 performs their own original music with a writing style
that displays a wide range of influences from Stevie Wonder and The
Gap Band to The Roots and KRS-One. They have been voted audience
favorite three times in as many attempts at the SF Harmony Sweeps and
their recently released debut CD "Urban A Cappella" is receiving
incredible reviews.

If you are interested or know of someone who might be, please contact

Hello,

I am an Seattle tenor with lots of modern AC experience, as well
as classical chops (I had an opera scholarship to University of
Arizona for a while), and I'm looking to either join an established
group or start a new one. Looking for a group who is willing to
work, try new styles, and gig all over the place.....it's time for me
to start singing again, and I'm ready to go full force into it. Some
of my AC influences are M-pact, the Coats, the Bobs, Sixth Wave,
Blind Man's Bluff, Blenders, etc.....that should give you a good
idea. I am most easily reached at acappellanut@...; I tried
to add that address to this account, but it wouldn't let me. Hope to
hear from you all soon,

Subject: Blue Jupiter Seeks BASS ASAP

Blue Jupiter needs a Bass Singer
(our beloved J Lile has been offered a job with a southern gospel
quartet - we wish him well!!)
Requirements:
Low Bb
Full, Rich tones
NO OCTAVE PEDALS
Must be able to combo musically (drums and bass at same time)
Soloing capabilities
Rhythmically Tight
Sense of "Pocket"
Sings in tune
Punchy and natural Syllable usage
Can walk chord changes naturally
Can make up great bass lines
Self motivated
20-28 Years Old
Coordinated enough to step-touch
Relocate to Nashville, TN ASAP

You should be a dedicated, attractive male singer, between 20-28 years
old, willing to relocate to Nashville, TN THIS MONTH! You should like
to sing funk, pop, and rock, be able to carry several leads, and hold
the tempo, key, and groove for an entire show. You need to be on
time, alert, a good driver, and self motivated to learn and tune each
note of every bass line you ever sing. You need to be able to make up
bass lines that are interesting and appropriate. You need to be able
to learn bass lines from recordings, with out having it written out
for you. You must be comfortable talking and teaching young audiences
about performing, singing, and touring. You may not be the best bass
in the world, but you should want it so bad, that you won't sleep for
months until you are.

A little bout us: Blue Jupiter is a nationally touring vocal group.
We use a guitar on some songs, piano, on some during the holidays, and
have been toying around with hiring a drummer (a real one - not a VP)
- so if you are a hard-core a cappella person, this isn't for you
(although 90% of our show is still a cappella). We refuse to do
crappy original music, we are not a comedy group, we do not market
ourselves as a novelty. We are co-writing with some of Nashvilles
finer songwriters, we are self-produced and self-managed. We do take
this seriously. We have 2 albums out, we have a third on the way that
could include YOU! We do pay everyone a salary, you would be paid
an entry-level salary staring in August. It will be enough to live
off of. We have 2 touring schedules - Christmas (Nov-Jan,1) and
non-Christmas (all other months). Off the road, we are funny,
friendly, trust-worthy, humbled by other talent, and appreciate good
music. We like Grand Theft Auto, South Park, The Family Guy, and
Comedy Central. We appreciate the fine cinematic qualities of Silent
Night Deadly Night. We are honest with each other, and offesive at
times.

This is your chance to get out you current group that isn't going
anywhere, or finally join one that is professional! No day jobs!
After a few months, we may offer health benefits, profit sharing, and
stock ownership. This is a great opportunity.

Send me:
A picture (taken in the last month)
A resume or bio
A CD with bass examples of funky lines, jazz changes, and driving rock
stuff, a couple examples of you singing bass and drums at the same
time and some lead examples
A video with a performance sample within the past year.
A reference or two that we can call

The Bellevue-Based Cascadian chorale is holding auditions on June 26-27. The

you will also be eligible for consideration as a member of the Cascadian

Hi all,

Realtime's first CD "Four Brothers" is mixed and mastered and in
production!

I have posted a few sample MP3s on our web site
http://www.realtimequartet.com if you want to have a listen.

The official launch date has been set as October 15th, when the
"purchase" links on the web site will go live.

To celebrate the launch, we will be announcing who won free advance
copies in the draw. Until then, you can still win! Right now Tim
Pashton is slightly ahead in the "most referrals" category, but it's a
horse race with two or three others.

If we can work it out, the Applause show (and possibly other internet
radio programs) will play the whole album on launch day, so you will
have a chance to hear the tracks if you're savvy.

Feels great to be done! We're really happy with the results.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi all,

A quick note to say that Realtime's first CD "Four Brothers" is
available on our web site: http://www.realtimequartet.com

We're really pleased with the response it has generated so far! A big
"thank you" to all the people who have given us glowing reviews based
on early and pre-release copies. Another huge Thank You to Phil
Alain, who created the original art for the cover.

Here are the tracks:

1. When The Saints Go Marchin' In, arr. Greg Volk
2. Come Fly With Me, arr. Kevin Keller
3. Loch Lomond, arr. Jonathan Quick
4. I've Got A Gal In Kalamazoo, arr. Greg Volk
5. Four Brothers, arr. Greg Volk
6. The Birth Of The Blues, arr. David Wright
7. All Of Me, arr. Scott Kitzmiller
8. Yesterday I Heard The Rain, arr. Brent Graham
9. Keep Your Sunny Side Up, arr. Greg Volk
10. For Once In My Life, arr. Jim Clancy
11. Everything's Coming Up Roses, arr. Greg Volk
12. It Was A Very Good Year, arr. Ken Potter
13. Anthem, arr. Rich Hasty

Lots of people have called and emailed with concern, because the track
list posted on Mainely A Cappella didn't include Loch Lomond! Loch
Lomond is Mark's solo, and by far our most requested song. Please
don't worry - no matter what it says on Mainely, Loch Lomond *IS* on
the CD! :)

Some good friends went through and tested the online purchase
experience, and found that it's quite painless, as well as (of course)
completely secure.

Thanks everyone, and happy listening!

Cheers,
Tom, Mark, John and Tim - "Realtime"
